Faceoff, I would agree with you 100% if the OP wasn't having symptoms. That's why my vote is get it looked at now. I know that there is a chance that the stress test won't trigger it, but I personally don't mess around with my heart.

Get it looked at. A doctor should do an ekg to see what your heart rate is doing. Any they can send you to a cardiologist who can run a stress test (they hook you up to ekg monitors, heart rate, and blood pressure and have you run or walk on a treadmill). Than they can see exactly what's happening and rule out anything…

Hunger can have a role. But not always. I have been known to eat my healthy meals all day, with plenty of calories and then to comfort my emotional side binge on anything and everything. Had nothing to do with being hungry, had to do with emotions. And that is why you eat until you're sick....and then keep on eating anyway.

Buy winter running gear and get outside!

I second the coconut water, I think it really helps keep my electrolytes in balance without adding tons of sugar like gatorade does.

I don't know what you do for exercise, but could be that you're sweating out more than your realize and not compensating adequately.

Hi I'm a med student who is currently working with an orthopaedic surgeon. Having heard other docs tell me to just stop running when I've been injured in the past vs. hearing what this doctor tells his patients. You want to find someone who either is an athlete themself or who commonly works with athletes. That's the…

Welcome back to running! I am getting ready to start again after a hip flexor injury caused me to miss a half marathon last month. Was my own fault for increasing my distance too quickly. Hoping to find some good motivation in this group to start slow and steady and stay injury free this time!

I'm a med student, compartment syndrome is bad news. Do the surgery before there is a big problem! Good luck!

Veggies are FULL of fiber, that's what's most likely causing it. Happens to me too, I notice that I'm not eating any fruits and veggies so I increase my intake and the bathroom problems begin. It passes after a few days to a week, and sometimes things like beano or gas-x make it easier to get through. Fiber doesn't firm…

I'm very excited for you! I lived in Rome for 4 months. Never once had an issue with gypsies, you would be fine if you really want to run while you're there. But live like a true Italian, walk EVERYWHERE. I swear that's part of how they all stay so thin! That will keep your endurance up and the weight at bay. You will have…
