what about doing water exercises? I have major back issues and this is what all docs have told me to do, so that there is no resistance and when walking in water or doing water aerobics I won't be in as much pain

I weigh around the same as you.. 267 and I am 41. You being younger than me has its advantages cause the younger you are the easier to come off faster. The older you are your metabolism is slower. I loved soda so much, but gave it up and just drink water. Now if I go out I will drink it just one glass. It is a treat. Just…

I wish you all the luck! I am glad I came here. Logging in what all I eat has helped me to see with my own eyes how much calories I am eating. I was shocked. Just take baby steps. You can do it!!

This is what I have been doing. Thanks.

Thanks I will see how it goes and if I am still hungry I will do what you suggest

Well frankly you are a large person. Large people can eat a lot of food and still lose weight. It takes quite a bit of food just to keep a 267 pound body alive and weighing 267 pounds. To lose weight you don't need to eat a SMALL amount of food. You just need to eat less food than however much your body needs. [/quote] Yes…

Through this discussion I have learned that I need to just let go and love me for me. I have tried in the past, but when I look in the mirror and see the *cough fat cough* it just makes me sad and well mad. Sometimes I wonder why my husband is still with me. I am not that skinny girl he married almost 20 yrs ago. I know he…

Well I want to thank everyone for their comments. I was trying to comment to each of you and that was getting rather tiring. So here is a big thanks to all who responded!! :flowerforyou:

I am glad to know there are more people like me out there. Sometimes I am just plain uneasy around others.

I too have the thyroid issue and I am disabled, so with my back issues doing many exercise stuff is hard. I am hoping getting the weight off will help with the pain and I can then do some exercise. Good luck to you.

thanks and yes I know that is "me" that is feeling this way, but I suppose being heavy just makes me more self conscious.

I have did every diet out there including pills that are not magic by the way! I joined MFP the other day and seeing what I put in my mouth is helping me. You can add me! I am 5ft 4 in and weigh 270, so I have a long way to go! Hey, but Rome was not built in a day!!! Tina

Hi there! I just started MFP through a friend who told me about it. So far I really like it. I am 5ft 4in and I too am morbidly obese. I weigh 270. So if you would like a diet buddy hit me up. I could use all the encouragement I can get! We can push each other together and win the battle of the bulge!!

Work harder tomorrow and drink lots of water to flush the salt out. Tomorrow is a new day!! Tina

Hi I just started MFP and I weigh 270. The heaviest I have been is 298. I have had a weight issue since my college days. Up and down... I suffer from depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder. I was in an accident in 1993 which messed my back up and so I am disabled. This makes it hard to exercise. I am going…
