I feel like when I go for a long walk when I'm on my period will make my mood change to a more positive one, and it helps with the swollen joints. The endorphines will brighten your mood... so try your best to do some light workouts so you feel better and don't throw up. Have you considered going on BC? The only reason I'm…

Girl, you do not look like you weighed 200lbs! And congratulations!!! I can see the difference. :)

I'm not going to lie, I read your post and the one underneath it. Meat is good for your body, we are omnivores. We are made to have both plants and animals in our diet. That's not to say you should be eating a steak every day. My opinion: Go with grass fed beef like nature's promise. Don't eat it with every meal, but make…

I will and forever be addicted to Starbucks iced chai tea lattes. Don't worry, I limit them. :)

No way you're 51! You're gorgeous and you've done such a wonderful job! Congrats! :)

I agree with the previous posters. Don't worry TOO much about protein, especially if you're working out. Worry about fat and sugar instead. You can always have a big giant salad.

Oh my gosh! My boyfriend has this habit of clenching his jaw when he's drawing. He's an artist... but is also very very fit... so I guess when he moves any muscle, I swoon. lol

I've found that I am the same way... and the only thing I can tell you is to talk to someone. My boyfriend is very athletic and comes from an all natural, healthy family. He's known nothing else. He doesn't understand why I eat to make me feel better. So talk it out. Stay away from the kitchen, get on the phone, and talk…

I don't think you're doing too much, but it all depends on how you feel and whether or not you are eating the calories that you burn. If you still feel energetic after playing with your son, doing 30 day shred, and a cardio workout, then good for you!!! Just make sure you are taking in a good amount of protein/good…

I think it does use a different schedule. My boyfriend is doing P90X because he's bored (sigh) and is making me do the LEAN version. I hear it does focus on cardio... so the way he described it was that I was "getting the same workout minus the bulging muscles..." then he proceeded to flex his muscles.... THIS is the…

I'm 22, and I grew up a tomboy for the most part, so make up hasn't been a necessity for me. I think the last time I wore any type of make up was about three weeks ago for a wedding and it was foundation, powder and mascara. The comments I usually get if I don't wear make up include looking like I'm 16. If I do wear make…

You look great! Congratulations on the 31 lbs! I know you'll get to your goal. :)

Thank you for posting! I've been telling friends and family that when you exercise and burn off 500 cals, go ahead and eat those 500 cals... as long as they are healthy and you get the most bang for your buck. That way, they eat the 500 cals, but they are still burning about 100 cals extra after the workout. It's very…

As long as your NET intake is 1200, your body needs those calories. If you feel too full to keep eating, then being under a little bit is ok. You just have to make sure that on a weekly basis, you are burning more calories than you take in. Congrats for staying focused and exercising enough to ask! :)

Eat some protien. Go for a protien bar before practice or a protien shake, maybe a handful of nuts! Try as hard as you can to get up there. Your body needs energy. Good luck! **** Just re-read your post. If you seem to get sick when you get on the court, definitely eat a larger breakfast with at least 500 calories. You…

I have had those days as well. Try to stay close to your calorie limit, but if it's low (1200) go ahead and bump it up to 1500 for the day. You don't want to starve yourself and be miserable with the feeling of hunger. Make sure the foods you are eating are good for you though. Try some more filling types of food (like…

I'm with you! I'm at 172 right now trying to get close to 135 or 130. You can add me as a friend if you want! I've been with MFP for a few weeks and I've only lost 1.2 lbs. I could use some motivation... especially with the stress of finals as a senior in college.

I agree completely! For those people who prefer to use a sweetner because they're diabetic... I recommend using any brand of sweetner that uses the stevia plant. Very very sweet, but not actually sugar (or chemicals). My friend is very into going completely organic, and she made me some iced tea with stevia (the brand she…

I live in Willoughby, OH... I grew up around the Cleveland area (east of) and I'm currently going to college in PA.

What I have heard works is increasing your calorie count for a few days/a week and then going back down. It gives your body that fuel it needs to start burning more fat. For example, if you are at 1200 calories, try going up to 1400 or 1500 for a week. Then go back down. Your body may need to mix it up a little bit.…

If you exercise, and log those calories your daily allowance will change. You are allowed to eat more, the more you exercise.

I have been told that the source of some pain in the joints could come from the toxins we take in on a daily basis. If you have a lot of caffiene, try cutting it down a little bit. Also, make sure you're getting enough calcium. There is an amino acid called Glucosamine and it is naturally found in your body. It strengthens…

Another thing you can look at is the amount of protien you are taking in. The more protien you have, the more you will generally weigh. Protien is definitely a good thing to have, but unless you are super super active you should try to stick closer to the goals that MFP sets for you so you are not overloading on it.

I think I would count it as your daily water intake, but make sure to log in the calories. If I were you, I would probably make sure that at least half of the water I drink is only water... but the flavor helps. I'm a fan of the pink lemonade. :)

Go ahead and add me! I love help people stay motivated. Good luck on your journey! Brittne:bigsmile:

I feel the same way. I'm in my senior year of college, and the work load is almost unbearable. I have my friends and family members talk me into doing what I need to do without procrastinating, whether it's laundry and chores or homework. Then I take ten - twenty mins or so out of my day (on the days I don't spend an hour…

Also, please do not use Splenda. If you want to use a sweetner, use Truvia or some other way of using the stevia plant. The stevia plant is very sweet naturally and is a perfect substitute to sugar. Splenda is a chemical and not natural at all, which makes it nothing useful if you want a cleanse.

Hi! I have also been poorly informed about the benefits of cleansing your body. I know that juices and other mixes might help, but the best way is a colon cleanse. I know this sounds horrible, but it helps with the chemicals in your body that you get from your everyday foods that have all kinds of preservatives (especially…
