  • I don't nurse, but I have plenty of friends who are having children right now and I've been paying attention. I wouldn't worry too much about your calorie intake right now, but more so about WHAT foods you're eating. You're going to need protein and fat right now, and not so much sugar/carbs. Then again, I don't worry too…
  • I did the same thing about six months ago, and was continuously frustrated... Now I just look at the total carbs for the day, your sugar intake is included because sugar is a carb. I try to stay with natural sugars such as fruit, and just make sure I'm under that carb limit.
  • You. Are. My. Hero. I might use this for real!!! I own all the movies.
  • Thanks a bunch for posting these. I like the bacon and egg salad idea! I might have to try it.
  • If you are planning on watching your sugar, I wouldn't do this every day. Definitely mix it up. I've found it's much better sugar and calorie wise to use plain quick oats and put fruit in it to sweeten it. Tastes great!
  • If I say something to someone who I am not very close with (a co-worker) who doesn't know I have a significant other, I wouldn't start talking about Taylor because they would have no idea who that is. I would say "boyfriend." My boyfriend is having a party this weekend. Now that doesn't mean I would ever use "Hubby." It's…
  • Yes, you should eat them back. However, it's alright if you burn 1,000 cals one day, but just can't seem to get more than 700 or 800 back into your system. You should never have a net of under 1200. Your body needs it... especially if you are really active.
  • I am in! I didn't get a chance to work super hard for September. I got really sick and then swamped with classwork because I missed a couple classes. I want to loose more than 2lbs this month! lol!! Good luck everyone!
  • I like what you're saying a lot. Just because it doesn't have chemicals in it, doesn't mean that you aren't going to get larger from going overboard. Organic food still has fats and sugars in it that your body doesn't need. Honestly, my struggle has always been with portions... So, whether or not your food is organic, you…
  • If you are going to use a sports drink, my recommendation is to dilute it. I use the G2 series as well, but only use about 1/4 of it in a waterbottle, then fill the rest up with water. This way you are getting your electrolytes, but you are not putting all that sugar in your system that you don't need.
  • Try switching it up. If you have been doing the same routine for the past few months, your body has probably gotten used to it. Give it a little more carbs one day and exercise hard, then lay off and maybe do 2 - 3 days of exercise... It usually helps me lose if I mix it up and don't do the same exercises as well as…
  • I am down 2 lbs for the week. :) I was very happy to see that loss... I'll post my diet and exercise plan later. :)
  • I agree. When you feel you look good and you can smile when you look in the mirror... who cares how many calories you ate? And if you go over 1200... start over the next day. Talk to a professional about this as well... Please, it's healthier to keep the nutrients in your body... so if you have a bad day, forget about it…

  • I am also very sore! I didn't go to the gym before class this morning because my body needed me to sleep! I went to bed at 10pm last night and woke up at 8:30! I feel great now... but I'm never gonna make that 3500 calorie mark this week. :( But I am going to play some ultimate frisbee today. An hour of that and it burns…
  • I would try not getting on the scale more than a couple times a week. And of course, at the same time of the day. See if your scale makes sense then, if you are constantly on the scale, it will show major fluctuations. But, I would always be happy with a -2 lbs. :)
  • Well anything natural is much better than splenda or any artificial sugar alcohols.... but try stevia, it comes from a plant and does not have many calories at all. And that 2lbs.... could just be a fluctuation, a need to have a BM, or you're bloated. Don't let it get you down, because if you feel great, you look great.…
  • Also, I must admit that I've slacked this weekend. I didn't have to work much, so I decided to have fun... and well, I didn't log calories on Sat. I know I went overboard.... so I didn't bother. As for burning 3500 calories this week. I average 350 a day, and I work out 5 days a week... This is going to be hard with the…
  • You do NOT suck! You had a loss, and though it might not be as much as you wanted.... you are still progressing! Don't be so hard on yourself!
  • You can do it! I'm having a hard time as well! I've only lost 5 lbs since MARCH. I haven't weighed in for this week yet, but I'm hoping it's good. Don't let yourself cheat over the weekend, and start off fresh on Monday! We're all in this together, and I got your back. :)
  • tnmarie: Thank you for your words of encouragement. I weighed myself this morning after four days.... and well, let's just say it's not good. I'm going to work extra hard this week to loose SOMETHING! Also, I've already had 24 oz this morning. More than I ever used to drink. :)
  • Ugh, not such a good day today. I managed to stay under 2000 calories, but no where close to the 1320 that MFP suggests. I'm hoping this doesn't set a trend for the week. I'm hoping to see a drop of 1lb this Friday when I weigh in. Has anyone else had issues with today being a holiday?
  • Wow, all of these stories definitely made me sit back and really dig deep into why I have gained weight... 1. Drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water EVERY DAY - I can definitely do this. I've been drinking alkaline water using the Kegan system. My boyfriend's mom is a huge advocate. It does a good job of balancing out the…
  • Thank you!!! I love it!!!! :)
  • That's awesome! Breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day, even if you are not hungry for it. I know personally... as a college student (eating a bowl of cereal, toast or oatmeal), I can't make 400 cals for breakfast... but I believe that is the perfect number! Keep up the good work! :)
  • I would go to the doctor's or at least call and describe your symptoms. Sounds like how my brother was when he had mono.
  • I don't know if I'm much help, but I think it's best to have a big breakfast (most important meal of the day!), a small lunch and a medium dinner.... then again you have to put room in there for snacks if you eat them. I usually go for 100- 200 cal snacks... or an apple which is only 60-90 cals. But usually I am between…

  • I would definitely recommend using the stevia plant. Truvia is a very popular name that can be found in the grocery store. Please, please don't use any artifical sweetners as they are not natural and bad for your body... even if they are low cal. Also, you will use less stevia and it will last longer because it is 10x…
  • Hey I'm in! I'll message you my starting weight in the morning because I haven't weighed myself in over a week. :)
  • I also take them (the Nature Made brand). I notice that I do feel more energized... but that doesn't mean I'm burning more calories. If you take it regularly, you might loose any sluggish-ness that you have... That tends to make me want to go to the gym more. :)
