Hi, I do totally understand what you mean, but you are at a very low weight for your height and you appear to have developed a slightly distorted relationship with food. I would definitely suggest seeing your doctor with these issues.

Yes, actually I am planning go out and do 45 minutes or so and am hoping to out-run the cloud of sadness that seems to be sitting on me today. I run without an HRM when I feel like I need to just relax and not think about anything, I also agree that a slightly longer and slower run is much more relaxing than a shorter…

For a Brit this is very important information, get it out there!! Now where did I put that Mr Tickle mug...?

Ahh no way!! I love carrots! Have you tried roasting them with a pinch of ground corriander and honey or maple syrup. Nom!

I don't go to the gym but my routine is: Monday: Rest (stretches) Tuesday: 60-120 min bike (times vary depending on which training week I'm in) + 45 min open water swim Weds: 45-75 min run + lifting Thurs: 120-180 min bike + 10-20 min run (brick session) Fri: 45-75 min run + lifting Sat: Long bike 120-300 min bike Sun:…

If it was cold it might have killed the batteries. Just get new ones and you should be fine. EDIT: http://chemistry.about.com/od/howthingsworkfaqs/f/coldbattery.htm

If you are not already I think weighing your food would be a good idea. Some of the things in your diary (like cereals for example) are very high in calories for the portion size you get, and the portions can be quite hard to judge unless you weigh them (cereal portions on the packet do not = a bowlful by a very long way…

Good, I think this is the best thing you could do. There is obviously some underlying problem which is not a physical one. You really need to get that sorted out as a matter of urgency because torturing yourself into doing exercise when you are ill and dizzy is not a good idea in any way. My thoughts and best wishes are…

Snap! I have this exact problem, it drives my boyfriend crazy that I still wear baggy jeans and hoodies. He encourages me to wear more fitted things, but I just feel so awkward and self conscious in them. My suggestion is swap one piece of clothing at a time. My boyfriend will buy me a nice top but I can only have it if I…

Yep, but I don't set foot in the gym. I run, cycle and swim outside (swimming is in a lake) and I absolutely love it. I feel so great when I'm out, I would be miserable if I had to give it up. It's just a question of finding something you really enjoy, as soon as you do you won't even think of it as exercise, just as…

My ex-partner (of 6 years) and I split up because I lost ~35kg and he didn't find me attractive anymore. EDIT: I now have a new boyfriend (4 years) who is a much better match for me so it all ended well :-)

Excellent work! That is a really good accomplishment. And as for being slow, 34 minutes isn't! Just think of how fast you'll go when you've had a little more practice, there will be no stopping you!

I do get days where I am tired and do not want to go out and exercise, I would rather just stay in bed\on the sofa\go and have a lovely bath. When I feel like that I think about why I'm doing the exercise (normally training for an event) and how much easier it will be if I put in the work now rather than struggle on the…

Maybe cycling was a bit to vigorous as a starting point? I don't suffer chronic fatigue but I have tutored people who have it before. I know how badly it can affect people. Maybe a short walk would be a good start and then work up from there? Or swimming as it's very low impact? I would divide the exercise into tiny chunks…

I don't take on anything if I'm doing less than 2 hours so anything less than a half marathon I don't bother. On longer runs I refuel with cereal/protein bars because gels give me the most horrific stomach cramps ever. I find that normally dehydration is my real problem on the shorter runs and if I have some water or juice…

That looks amazing!

Thanks :-)

I have a doctorate, have completed an Ironman and I "don't play well with others" :-) EDIT: Seriously, most people look at me and think I'm a total muppet but I'm not sure why, maybe because I don't dress seriously enough?

Stay calm, when it gets to lunch time maybe try and go for a walk. Look at how well you've been doing :-). It's really hard when you are hungry but try and keep busy so you don't get fixated on the food (I find distraction is by far the best medicine for these feelings). That said, I can't see how many calories you are…

NSVs. Definitely NSVs. Especially exercise ones (I ran\walked\cycled X distance, signed up for a triathlon\5km\10km\marathon etc) you can tell those people feel totally RAWWWRRRR!!! right now and that makes me happy.

Have swapped my morning muesli and semi skimmed milk for 100g 0% Greek yoghurt, 15g honey and 25g granola. Turns out that this meal is the BEST THING EVER for me! I love everything about it (although I now have a minor addiction to honey, on yoghurt, on toast, just straight off the spoon :-S). I originally swapped because…

I love this, so many people are used to the "instant" gratification and results that living in the modern world brings (e.g you're overweight? That's OK we can suck the fat out if you pay enough $$). But with exercise there isn't a shortcut, you can't just walk into a surgery unfit and come out the other side being able to…

*hug* I know it really hurts when this happens. But I promise things get better and that you won't fall into the trap of making your life about one person again (this is something you have to learn on your own, it doesn't matter how many people warn you about it). You will come out of this better and stronger. You will…

I've been tracking for 60 days today (so not quite 12 weeks but not completely different) I have been eating 'normally' (i.e healthy mostly but chocolate, crisps, cakes all included if within my 1500+ 50% of my exercise calories), doing a fair bit of exercise and definitely not starving myself or doing anything silly (love…

Nope. Losing weight, doing more exercise, giving it everything I've got is all for me (selfish I know but I don't care) :-)
