No sugar added pumpkin pie is amazing! I also made Cranberry sauce with splenda and there was no difference in the outcome.

Just push yourself man - cardio is about endurance and physical fitness. Don't be a hamster locking yourself into a routine. Do 30mins after work tomorrow on your treadmill then the next day to 20 HITT sprints or maybe on Friday a 1 hour long Spin session on a bike. That's what makes those cross-fit guys so healthy and…

"Moderation" is very subjective and the amounts of added refined sugars in single servings of many popular processed food items is alarming. I wonder if CocaCola Inc. is concerned in the least that "Moderate" use of their products will lead to their customers increased risk for Diabetes Type 2. Do yourself a favor drop the…

Anyway - I had a great experience with a customer service department and usually that is something that NEVER happens. FitBit is definitely OK in my book.

If you stay true - I assure this time next week you will feel great. Be careful posting about this topic, the sugar shills will target you and demand "carb is a carb" compliance. Good Luck in all your struggles.

You were diagnosed Type 2 correct? If so please please please study everything you can find about type 2 diabetes - take charge and become accountable. It's a terrible disease with unbelievable consequences later in life in not controlled well and the majority of type 2's don't control it well. Type 1's do a better job…

It's ok to hate on sugar if you want. Don't let the sugar shills bully you.

I started using loose leaf lettuce instead of tortilla shells - I will never go back. The lettuce allow much more taco flavor to come through. Try it once - you'll loves it!

I bought a Concept 2 for my home gym as my local fitness centers did not offer one. Best purchase ever!

Late night is the worst. Very difficult problem.

Lots of shills for the food industry in this thread.

Very nice.. I like the idea of a personalized formula - wish I had a hack to plug it into Digifit.

Thanks guys! So I'm a believer. I'll tweak those settings a bit and see what happens. When I first got my HRM I spent a lot of time working on my HR zones. I'm on a mild beta blocker which makes stock settings a bit inaccurate. After a lot of experimentation I believe I'm real close to my own personal sweet spot which gets…

So what your saying is if your at the low end - say at 1200 calorie allotment - then setting yourself at sedentary and opting for a 2 pound a week loss option then the default MFP setting will not allow you a true net calorie allotment because it cannot go below the bottom default setting... Then how can changing the…

In the Fitbit app - today's cardio workout showed up on the dashboard as " digifit cardio 22:02 " today's row session showed up as " digifit other 20:02". This morning when I was getting on the treadmill I opened my digifit app and selected workout then cardio then indoor workout then start... 20 mins and 2 secs later I…

I use Digifit to record my HR workouts - my fitbit is on all the time ... MFP is my food diary. I sync digifit to fitbit then fitbit to MFP. Important.. No direct connection between digifit and MFP... Let fitbit work it out... The time I use my HRM - basically during my cardio workouts - fitbit lets those calories burned…

Bodies are all shapes and sizes - to each his/her own preference however I believe it's in our DNA to find physical fitness attractive. That's why you notice the 40+ mom with all her ( curves ) living an active lifestyle and hardly see the sedentary twenty something. Plenty of physically fit women out there that nobody…

Hey if any of you rowers want a fitness challenge - the Concept 2 site has a Fall Challenge starting in October and "MFPfriends" is a team affiliation - come join the team and challenge. I just finished the "Dog Days Challenge" basically it was 10000 meters the first week in august 20000 the second week 30000 the third…

For whats it's worth , I read a study once that compared the habits of people who had significant weight loss and who were able to maintain the weightloss for > 3 years. Those studied had 2 items that was common to all. 1. They all maintained a daily meticulous food diary/calorie count and 2. they all ate breakfast.

" exceeded expectations " what an awesome description! Also - if it's like 11:40 pm and your like at 9,500 steps and it's raining outside and NOBODY is watching :) you can put on some music and do the Michael Stipe from REM "losing my religion dance" Ha! Just dated myself ;)

I agree that walking may not be the best exercise but my fitbit seems to sets a baseline ... Raises the activity bar so to speak... what a great tool... People keep mentioning the leaderboard... What's is that?
-
No matter their sources people on this forum seem to at least be making informed decisions about their diet choices. Well done.

Well said sir.

Like most responses NO sugar for 3 days will help... it worked for me. It is a huge struggle. Read up on all the bad stuff about sugar and what it does to our bodies - that may give you the motivation to pass on a particularly bad craving episode. Good Luck!
-
Maybe your just stabilizing - hydration etc. etc. Try using this as your starting weight and see what happens. Good Luck!

Quest - I just saw everybodies post about the quest bars so I cruised over to their website... Wow 20 grams protein and only 1 gram sugar for 170 cals! Thanks guys.

No matter what - eat right and exercise that way no matter when your heart beats it's last beat whether it's today or 50 years from now - you'll leave a great looking corpse. Enjoy life.

I love the dark choc and sea salt - they only have 4 gram sugar!
