  • According to your Body Mass Index, you are only over a healthy range by .8! You would only need to weight 135 to be in the healthy range so why do you want to lose weight?
  • I too have said "bye-bye beer" for the most part. If I do however want a drink, I've been sticking to vodka and soda water with lime. Soda water is zero calories, sugars, carbs, and sodium. If I HAVE to have a drink, that's what it is, just the calories of the vodka, which is waaayyyy less then beer
  • You body will catch up, don't get too discouraged! Sounds like you are doing everything right, and it will pay off! Did you measure yourself when you started? You could be losing inches and not so many pounds just yet. Keep up the good work!
  • Who would have thought right? I've been overweight my entire life and until finding this site and making the decision to take control on my body and my life was I able to start losing the weight! It's been 10 weeks and I am down 22lbs and counting! Good luck on your journey and welcome!
  • Are you eating the peels? Are you not washing your hands regularly? Then what's on the outside of a banana really doesn't matter....
  • Thanks for the info! I'm happy to report that I do ALL of those things on a daily basis, well except the spicy food because I get heartburn from it
  • When drinking coffee, you need two cups of water to every cup of coffee. Not an actually cup, but if you have a 12oz coffee drink 24oz water to keep from getting dehydrated.
  • Awesome job! I haven't not eaten there since I watched Super Size Me, man I wish someone would make a movie like that about ALL fast food places! I too have steered clear of any fast food in about 3 months! It's a good feelings, keep up the good work!
  • That is one of my goals, to see my collar bone! I checked yesterday, not there yet. BUT I took a picture with my boyfriend yesterday and I only have one chin!! That made me very happy!
  • Water, water, water! If you think you are drinking enough, you are probably not. My brother just went to the doc for a check up and they said he was dehydrated and asked about his coffee/caffeine intake. He told them he drinks coffee in the morning and they told him that along with over 64 oz of water you need to drink two…
  • Agreed, you need a min of 1200 calories and eat them all AND eat back all your working out calories! The weight will fall off after that, good luck!
  • Welcome! This site has literally been a life saver for me and many many others! Good luck

  • Isn't:bigsmile: that a purely wonderful feeling?!? I started walking/jogging a couple weeks ago and would barely make it one or two minutes. NOW I am running 30 or 40 minutes, and more if I have the time! It's a great accomplishment, you should be very proud! Just imagine all the great things that you will be able to do…
  • Listen to your body and do what you feel is right for YOU! I know it's hard and it gets very discouraging sometimes but I think you can do it!! I believe in each and everyone one of you! We are here for support and advise or just to listen to you vent when things get tough. Don't give up!! When you are ready, come back and…
  • I enter it as running/jogging but I found that the mph settings were too high for me (I ran a mile in about 20mins.) so I usually put it under fast paced walking. You can really put it under whatever you want and just enter in the calories burned that it says on the machine. Hope this helps! Good luck with the workouts!
  • Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
  • I too just started watching my sodium but I thought the healthy range for a day was 1800-2300mg? Any input on this would help P.S. I LOVE PICKLES!
  • I've lost 15lb so far and no one has noticed on me, I don't really see it in myself either though. I don't let it get me down, even though I crave the "you look great" comments so bad! But by not getting them, maybe I just don't look great yet. It's kind of a backwards inspiration to keep working harder to reach my goals.…
  • Great job!! Doesn't it feel so good to have something you worked hard all week for pay off on the scales?! I weigh in on Wednesday and after my 8lb loss last week, I'm am actually excited to weigh in again! Congrats and keep up the good work girl!
  • Chin up! We all have tough days (or weeks sometime). Just make up your mind to try harder and do better and you will reach your goals! Don't let the minor setbacks through you off, and if they do get right back on there girl! I am having a hard day with food today too! I was sick and left work early and have been lounging…
  • I can run a mile and a half so far on the treadmill, and outside I can run a MINUTE AND A HALF! So needless to say, I prefer the treadmill over outside.
  • That happens to me if I jog outside. Your skin heats up and starts to sweat and the cold in the air makes them itch. Try warmer pants?
  • It's the damned plateau! I was stuck for 3 weeks, lost .7 then gained .6 then lost .4! It was very discouraging but I stuck with things and lost 8 lb last week! It will pay off for you, I promise!
  • Hilariously diluted! I love it!
  • I was never a soda drinker but now I drink sparkling water and love it. It's just the break from drinking just water all the time that is good for me. I like that most have no calories, sugar, or sodium. Try Talking Rain Mint Mojito, sooo good!
  • Welcome Chris! This site has been the only thing that has ever worked for me! I'm fairly new myself and have had great success so far. I know you will too!! Good luck! Jay
  • I have a hard time with breakfast too, I wake up at 4am for work and the last thing I feel like doing it eating. I do try to eat a little something though, some oatmeal or a piece of fruit or a protein bar. It gives me the little boost I need to make it to me 8:30 lunch time.
  • WoW! You are super gorgeous and have do die for hair! I saw some of that Ojon on QVC and almost bought some, I'm going to now! Right now my must haves are just a 32oz water bottle and a good sports bra!
  • Correction: I just looked up my "ideal" weight for my height is 114-145 which means I have more then 100 lbs to lose!
  • I want to lose 80lb, I know it's going to take a long time and be hard but I want to do it!
