Eat foods that you like, stay in your calorie range, exercise. That's as complicated as it needs to be.
-
Now that's just crazy talk!!!!
-
what will you eat in it's place that's chemical free?
-
Go for it! My boyfriend is 12 years younger than I am!
-
Oh lord.
-
Good luck not gaining it all back when you have to go off the HCG.
-
Works on 'chemical breakdown'??.....omg people, just stop. If you want to get fit and stay fit for the rest of your life a 3 day diet is not the answer!!!!!!! It's called a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. It's people that go chasing these fad diets, supplements and quick fixes that never succeed. They find themselves in the same place…

The only way to lose weight is through calorie deficit. Calories in v calories out. Exercise has many benefits but if you're still eating too many calories a day you won't lose. You need to establish a daily calorie goal and stick to it.

6 is too young. There are a lot of other kid friendly sports and activities you can get her involved in. If she still wants to lift when she turns 12ish or so then you can make a decision.

Olive oil, peanut butter, cheeses and dairy. Avoid low fat and fat free foods.....eat the full fat versions. A bowl of ice cream every once in awhile helps too
-
You look fabulous!!! I've always been a big fan of working out at home. It's convenient and a big timesaver. You don't need a gym membership and 1000 pounds of weights....you just need determination, willpower, commonsense and a good healthy diet and you're own body!!

^^^^ This this this! There are no miracle pills, special combinations of foods, or magical elixirs. Dr. Oz panders to people who are looking for a quick fix.
-
Well.....these are some really tasty healthy snacks. BUT....they don't have any miracle properties for reducing belly fat.
-
Pulls up chair, pops open a diet coke......

Life without coffee or soda would be just too depressing for me. I went the 'MODERATION' route. One or 2 cups of coffee a day (dash of cream and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar - total cals for both cups under 160) and one can of diet soda a day.

I'm the fashionably dressed wallflower in the corner with a glass of wine :flowerforyou:
-
I took a peek at your diary. You're logging some pretty high calorie burns for exercise and eating some hearty high calorie meals + a couple hundred calories worth of wine every night. I think you may be over estimating your calories burned and just plain eating too many calories. A HRM will give you a better idea of your…

First - Hello to a fellow Chicagoan!! And Congrats on your weight loss! It sounds like you have a deep emotional scars left over from being an overweight child and not getting the proper support at home during those tender years. I would encourage you to talk to someone. A doctor or even a support group like Weight…

How did you come to the conclusion that you HAVE TO weigh 125? There is a lot of anxiety going on over a couple of pounds. In a nutshell your body is at a healthy weight. Weigh loss may not be the solution. Your focus should shift more to body composition. If you're not lifting heavy weights that challenge you...now is the…

Use less creamer. Or tried brewing hazelnut flavored coffee beans then add just a wee but of sweetner. I also like using vanilla or almond extracts to flavor my coffee. As a side note - 1200 calories is really low, probably below your BMR. Upping your calorie limit a few hundred would probably not hinder your progress.…

^^^^ Excellent response!!! What's with these guys taking it so personally and the nasty comments? We're all adults here. We both know that both men AND women cheat and treat each other badly in relationship. This isn't a man bashing thread. Jeeshhh...talk about over reacting!
-
This is not about gender. This is about one person disrespecting another. Man or woman...it's bad behavior.
-
OUCH!
-
^^^^ I'll second this book..'new rules of lifting for women! It was really helpful and full of great information. The program is easy to follow!
-
He's cheating on you, sexting is cheating. Do you what a relationship that you always have to monitor his phone and emails to see what he's up to? I couldn't live with that level of mistrust. I'd leave him and move on!
-
Absolutely! Weight loss is achieved through calorie deficit. Stay within your calorie goal and you'll lose weight - no gym required. "It's 80% diet, 20% exercise".
-
I think a lot of people on low carb diets or other diets where they are restrictive with certain food groups are eating in a calorie deficit....hence the weight loss. Maybe they are not counting calories...but at the end of the day they're probably netting a huge deficit.

If you're not used to working out you need to build up your fitness level. A good walking program is the best way to start out. Step aerobics maybe too intense but it's always worth a try. Listen to the modification instructions and modify if you need to.
-
For a lot of people it's going to be a lot of sacrifice and not a sustainable way of life to eliminate an entire food group from their diet when they can still get the same weight loss results from eating a variety of healthy foods and staying in their calorie goal.

Also since Mom is so busy with a full household maybe you can volunteer to cook some healthy meals while Mom is running the kids here and there.
