Post menopausal here! I've found that I now have to pay attention to all the things I could ignore when I was a young kid in my 40's working out ;) Like getting proper sleep, hydrating, varying the intensity of my work outs, taking a much earned rest day, warming up properly, cooling down properly, pacing myself better,…

I still eat them but in moderation. Nobody better ever take my sweets away from me :)

Hi there! My faves youtube fitness channels are - Pahla Bowers (she's my absolute fave!), Jessica Smith TV, Hasfit, and Yoga with Adriene.

Flush? What's that? You take laxatives so you can see the scale drop a pound or two. Not to be harsh, but you need to get your head in the right place. Your ideas and concepts of weight loss are unhealthy. See a doctor, tell them about your 'flush' routine. And start to work on developing a healthy mindset towards health,…

I'm so sorry for your loss!! I lost my sister 7 years ago and my Dad 8 years ago. There is not a day that goes by I don't think of them. That first year of grief, definitely just moving through the motions, doing what you're supposed to do without any passion for it. Life feels so 'flat'. But you will get through, one day…

I hear ya! I've been through menopause and I'm rapidly approaching 60! The good news is you can still lose weight and staying fit in your 50's, 60's and beyond! But it definitely takes more CONSISTENCY and a bit of a different approach from when I was a young kid in my 40's ;) I was the queen of the cardio bunnies back in…

If you chew the tea leaves it will burn more calories ;)

Anytime the word 'cleanse' is used, it's a gimmick. Your body is designed to cleanse itself, the live and kidneys come in real handy for that. The best thing you can do at this point is just start eating healthier and sensible portions.

What I lift or what you lift or what she lifts, does not matter. Strength training is done with weights that will challenge YOU. The majority of my workouts are done at home. I have a variety of dumbbells, kettlebells, and weighted bars and love to use them for more of a metcon style workout. Along with body weight…

I love Pahla Bowers youtube channel! She's awesome! Jessica Smith's channel is good too!

I'm 5'7" and weigh 147. Although I would like to lose a few more pounds it's currently not my top priority. Right now I'm focusing on body re-composition. I would just set a goal to get healthier and take it from there. Focusing on one magic number on the scale can get frustrating!

Free workouts on Youtube!! My current favorite channels are Pahla Bowers and Yoga with Adriene. Pahla is fantastic! She has a huge library of workouts - HIIT, tabata, metcon, emom, weights, body weight only and some steady state cardio. And I love Yoga with Adriene!
-
Do any of you follow Yoga with Adriene's kula on Facebook?

Coffee chocolate chip for me as well! Yum!

30 day shred is fun, more of a cardio conditioning work out as you use lighter weights. But you will sweat! I would suggest less core machine and more weighted squats and lunges, push ups and planks.
-
I totally agree with @cqbkaju . It's much more productive to commit to 30 days of a well rounded program that focuses on the body as a whole and functional fitness. Although, I admit I am guilty of falling for the 'challenges' in the past - I did find that they can be motivating. But in the end, if I'm going to put out the…

900 calories?!.....nope. Maybe she misinterpreted what the doctor said? Or maybe the doctor is a quack? But 900 is not enough for anyone.

Congrats on your weight loss! Sometimes you will have a week, or two or even three where you don't lose anything...that's normal, it's not carved in stone that you will lose every week. Be patient, track accurately and the scale will start moving again. Whatever you do, don't give up!!
-
Hi there, yep you definitely need to give it more time!! Less than 3 three weeks is not enough. Hang in there, stick to the plan, don't weigh yourself too much. Best wishes!

I subcribe to Pahla Bowers, just love her workouts! Jessica Smith is also really good! Leslie Sansone Walk at Home is good too. I also do yoga with Yoga with Adriene - awesome youtube channel!

My food intake is the same on a rest day or work out day. I use the TDEE method.

Calorie deficit for weight loss. If you like tea, drink it! Make sure you log any creams and sugars you add to it!

As a coffee addict - I feel your pain! I've tried the lo-cal substitutes and they just don't cut it...yuck. And forget using regular milk or even worse skim eee ghads no hehe. In the end I wound up just going with moderation. I limit myself to 2 cups a day (cups!! not a venti or even a grande, just an 8 oz cup) and I drink…

I'd see your doctor for a work up. When I was having gallbladder issues, fried greasy foods were a big trigger for nausea AND severe gallbladder attacks. Ugh...I don't miss those days!

Yoga with Adriene on youtube is awesome! She's my absolute favorite on youtube. Lesley Fightmaster is also good, and Yoga with Kassandra as well. Oh and Yoga Upload on youtube too! Namaste!

Weight loss or weight gain is all about calorie intake - it doesn't matter if you're a vegan, vegetarian, keto, or cookie-a-holic. Is all about calories consumed and calories burned. Track what you're eating and stay in your calorie goal and you'll be fine!
