I always feel that getting into a walking routine is a great place to start...especially if you're not used to exercise and not that keen on it. I also like Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD's (some routines are available free on youtube), Jessica Smith TV is also free on youtube and she has a lot of great workouts, easy to…

I assume when you married him a few months back he was the same way. Now you want him to change and become something different? It's been said before but I'll say it again. You can't change people, they have to do it themselves. The best thing you can do is - lose the controlling attitude and lead by example.

I plan on NOT logging, eating everything I love and passing out into a food coma afterwards. On Friday I'll be doing a huge sweaty kickass workout and I will return to my portion controlled healthy eating habits!

Rather than denying myself all the tasty treats there are during the holiday season, I rely on intuitive eating and moderation and still eat all the things I enjoy. The trick is to STOP eating when you're full. That and I make sure I get those big high calorie burning workout in!! Really it's just a handful of days out of…

1 - man up and ask politely to use the equipment 2 - complain to the manager 3 - HOME. GYM. 4 - or find a new gym But what do I know I'm usually the girl that falls into this category - "OK if you want to faff around on some of the machines, run on the treadmills or prance about in Zumba but not when using the weights…

Why give up something you enjoy? Why not learn moderation and portion control. I'd be much happier knowing I can drink a cup or two of coffee a day and still stay within my goals than have to give it up completely. Moderation and portion control are the key to success!

2 weeks isn't really a 'relationship'. In two years when you guys are picking out wedding venues and he still doesn't want to post his relationship status THEN have a problem. You have a long way to go till you get to that point. Relax and enjoy your new relationship and stay off Facebook.

^^^ My thoughts exactly!! I have a gym membership (fortunately is super cheap $10 a month). I'm lucky if I make it there once a month. I'd much rather - go for a walk, run, jog, hike, bike or anything outdoors!! I also work out at home a lot!! There are TONS of youtube videos and channels to work out to in the comfort of…

Hmmm take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming the world for your issues. Damn liberals!

Walking, hiking, biking, skating/rollerblading, join a team sport (volley ball, soft ball ect., roller derby if you're really adventurous), dancing or dance lessons, yoga, zumba, lift weights, body weight exercises and about a gazillion workouts for free on youtube that can be done in the comfort of your own home (no gym…

Sundays are my 'fun food' day (aka cheat day) Can I tell you how much I love Sundays:wink: But every once in awhile my cheat day becomes a cheat weekend and too many of those are counter productive and will eventually lead to weight gain. I tell myself I have 2 choices - (1) kick myself in the butt, flex my willpower and…

Ahhhhh big sighhhhh.................sometimes it's so very hard but. This is the stepping away part.

Actually I have a very scientific mind and I don't agree with cleanses and detox's. I believe the body does it just fine on it's own. But I also believe that it's a person's own right to choose their own path. I was merely stating that in life there are people that will argue with you that black is white and vise versa and…

That's life. Not everyone is always going to be on the same page as you....and they shouldn't have to be. We are all entitled to have our own beliefs. And if you try to shove your own beliefs down someone else's throat you may not like the response you get.

Low carbs/ No carbs............that just makes me so sad  I'd rather not 'diet' and have to give up things that I love. Instead I believe in everything in moderation, portion control, willpower, commonsense, consistency and frequent big sweaty workouts...that's the way to go. Now would someone please pass me a…

^^^What she said. It's a victory to me that I can ENJOY a few cookies or piece of cake ect and know when to stop!! I feel empowered and happy!

Weekends are my biggest challenge as well!! Unfortunately there's no magic fix. You just have to commit and stick to it. I try to allow myself just one day a week as a cheat day (usually Sunday)....for me this works. It keeps me motivated and eating right Monday through Saturday because I know on Sunday I can reward myself…

Hmmm rather than deny myself and risk setting myself up for failure, ....I'd just limit myself to sensible portions. No foods are off limits to me!

I'm going to eat whatever I want on Thanksgiving and enjoy every minute of it!! Mashed potatoes and gravy..YES PLEASE! And then do it again on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!! As the saying goes - “It’s not important what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas, It’s important what you eat between Christmas and…

Looks like a tasty spaghetti squash recipe but when this girl is in the mood for lasagna I want the real thing!!!! Pasta...yea baby!!!

^^^This! Does it get your heart pumping? Do you sweat? Are you sore the next day? Does it make you feel good? Empowered? Any exercise is better than just laying on the couch. You exercise for good health and fitness. If you don't care about those things then don't do it. Calorie deficit is why we lose weight. However...if…

Doctor Who AND Sherlock!!!!!!!!!!! Yessssssssssssss:love: In answer to your question - I find it best to weigh in first thing in the morning, naked, after I pee:blushing:
-
Why so restrictive?! Educate yourself on proper nutrition - what is a healthy amount of calories, fat, carbs and protein. Eat more, a lot more!!
-
The calorie deficit is calculated in the number of calories MFP allows you a day.
-
Don't waste your time, there are no miracle pills or elixirs. Eat healthy, drink water and move. There is always time for exercise...15, 20, or 30 minutes a day is better than nothing. How about 15 minutes in the morning and 15 in the evening. No gym required....just body weight exercises.
-
1. Portion Control 2. Stay consistent 3. Exercise 4. Eat a variety of foods, don't skip your fruits and veggies 5. Don't diet. Learn how to eat for life!
-
This!!! Do it the healthy way! Rapid weight loss through severe calorie deficit and drugs is not sustainable and you will most likely gain it all back and then some. Take your time, eat healthy, practice portion control and exercise.

Wow...that is one Bridzilla *****ella...not too mention shallow and vapid. You should love and respect your friends for who they are, not how they look. I would out right refuse to be in that wedding!
