It's always good to see a Doctor! But I will say if you're eating under your calorie goal...less than 1200? That's too low, that would the combination of low to no carbs foods is probably a big change in your diet and causing you to be sluggish. I'd see your Doctor Eat all your recommended calories And eat a balanced diet

Need more info - how many calories a day are you eating? what's your exercise regime? What types of foods are you eating? drinking enough water?
-
1200 is too low for most people. It's most likely below your BMR that's why you're so hungry! Since you don't have a lot to lose I would up you calories. Starvation diets don't work!

Too many calories is too many calories. There's no need for overkill on fruit, veggies or any other food category, just eat a balanced diet and stay within your calorie goal. As far as Paleo.....works great for some people because it's fits into their lifestyle. For me....it would never work and therefor would not be a…

Men AND women as a whole used to do a lot more manual labor and physical activity back in the day. The modern world has made it easy for all of us to put on a few extra pounds. But I guess it's a bit silly for the article to just focus on women. Whatever...not really that offended though:bigsmile:

This. It's kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. And OMG....the drama! The level of immaturity going on here is right out of an episode of an after school special. Grow up and move on!
-
While I think it's beneficial to get up and move around through the work day (I've been known to do squats and jumping jacks in the bathroom lol)..........it's still does not replace a 'real' full on work out. Try to schedule 30 to 60 minutes for your off time and get a good sweaty heart pumping workout!

^^^^^^This This This!!! If only it was that easy to gain muscle in just 2 weeks. We'd all look amazing!

I'm in agreement with some of the other posters - unless you're training for the tour de france cycling for hours is not necessary for weight loss. Plus - if this is just sedately pedaling while at your desk working you're probably over estimating the calorie burn. My advice - schedule an hour in your free time and work…

You look healthy and fit. How tall are you? You may not want to hear it but you may have set an unrealistic goal weight. Focus less on what the scale says and more on how you look and feel. If you still want to see changes in your body...weight loss may not be the answer. Think..body recomposition. Lift heavy weights, do…

Do you honesty think that weight loss can be achieved by simply sprinkling magic dust onto your food?

My commute is a total of 2 miles daily (one mile each way to and from the train station). I've been doing it for over 10 years and my body is used to A LOT of walking. When I first started on MFP almost 2 years ago a logged it. But it seemed that my overall results were not that great so I think between logging the daily…

Diet pills are unhealthy and they don't work to keep the weight off....ditch them now! Stop thinking diet and learn portion control LOG EVERY SINGLE BITE HONESTLY AND FAITHFULLY....AND CONSISTENTLY It's not rocket science, calories in versus calories out.
-
umm yea. don't log that.

Gallbladder attacks are the worst pain I have ever experienced!!!! My last couple attacks were so severe I wound up in the emergency room. I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago....good riddance!!! Best decision I made!!! I ate A LOT of jello, chicken broth and white rice while waiting for my surgery. Eat low fat, no…

Your body is telling you that 1200 calories a day is too low. Eat more!

It's life, it happens! 3 or 4 days away from the gym is not going to override a lifetime commitment of healthy living. I used to stress over going on vacation and not being near a gym. Life's too short, just enjoy!

Open up your diary, we'll be able to help you more!

I'm going to go in a different direction than most of the posters on here. It's NOT necessary to faint, puke or die to have a good work out and still get all the health benefits that come from it. Believe me..that used to be me, pushing myself to the wall. But now at 54 years old I realize that sort of intensity is just…

Sorry honey but when a guy likes/loves a girl he will make sure she knows it and will spend time with her! Sounds as if he's lost interest. Stop texting and calling him and move on. There is a man out there that will treat you like a queen!!
-
Lol...I had a similar epiphany while at my gynie office a few months ago.....cardio v. pap smear???? I'll take the run any day!!!
-
Try Leslie Sansone walk at home DVD's....they're low impact, easy to follow and fun. And you will burn calories!

Once a month. Weighing everyday just frustrates me...there are too many variables that can make your weight fluctuate daily, hourly. Once a month, log it, and push the scale to the back of the closet.
-
Neither. Eat a sensibly portion, log it in the diary, make sure it fits your calories for the day and your good!

I understand why you cut out dairy because you're baby can't tolerate it....but eliminating sugar and grains in addition to the dairy is very restrictive, especially if you're breastfeeding! Maybe this 'diet' isn't right for you. Find something sustainable, that fits into your lifestyle. And make sure your netting enough…

I don't care for the taste of artificial sweetners so I use regular old fashion sugar in my coffee. A teaspoon is less than 20 calories, a cup or two of coffee a day with cream and sugar fits into my calories :drinker:
