My first advice would be to see your Doctor. I would also like to throw out there that it sounds a awful lot like gallbladder issues.

How wonderful for that woman and her family that you saved her life!!!! Well done! But somehow....you are trivializing your own heroic act by worrying about how many calories you burned in the process. It's time for some inner reflection on the reason you chose your profession.

Looks like your weight loss goal is 8 pounds? So I'm guessing you are not overweight? What is your height and current weight? And could you open your diary?

I love my Fitbit Force! I use it to track my steps, stairs and sleep patterns and to make sure I'm getting my 10,000 steps a day. But I totally ignore the calorie information it provides. WHY?...because what I have been doing prior to having a Fitbit was working for me. And while getting 10,000 steps in a day is awesome…

There are lot's of physically fit people out there who work in an office all day. All you have to do is put a good work out in before, after or on your lunch hour. As for during work hours - I get up at least once an hour to move around. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Working in an office is not a handicap or…

^^This! 1200 calories is not enough for most people! It's most likely under your BMR. If you do a search of the boards for - 'eat more to weigh less' or general info on BMR (basal metabolic rate and TDEE total daily energy expenditure) you will get a better feel for the amount of calories you can and should be eating.

^^^Excellent advice!

OUCH. That's NOT a friend. That's an insensitive jerk. Don't waste your tears on someone who obviously doesn't hold you in the same regard as you hold them. I'd 'unfriend' them asap and move on!

Congrats on dropping all that weight!!!....in other word the boyfriend:wink: Breakups suck but you sound like you're going to be fine!! You'll find someone who will appreciate you for what you are! Keep up the good work at the gym and best wishes:flowerforyou:

For years I had the mind set of - I'm either 'on' my diet or I'm 'off' my diet. I either ate 'good' food or I ate 'bad' food. There was never a in between. For example - ooops I ate a donut for breakfast now my day is ruined. Or if it was a day I was supposed to work out and didn't because life got in the way then I would…

You do not have to live on salad to lose weight. Eat what you want, but watch your portions and log accurately.

^^^Yep this is pretty much me too! I have a Fitbit Force so I track my steps. I plan ahead and bring healthy snacks & meals to the office. When I grab lunch out I opt for healthier options and/or portion control. And I work out in the evening when I get home. I do belong to a gym but hardly go..........there are so many…

Yes!! I haven't seen a HCG thread in ages! In before the lock!!

If someone gave me the option of - 1. no bread for the rest of my life 2. 2 slices a day only Hmm both option are equally hard but I'm going for door #2. I can still enjoy the foods I like in moderation!
-
Just watch your portions, eat in moderation and log everything. It's hard when you're still living at home and the family is not on board with you! If you can afford to buy your own food, I would do that....if not, enjoy the free meals in moderation!!...it won't always be that way:flowerforyou: PS - big thumbs up on Doctor…

Congrats on your decision to make a Lifestyle change!! The first thing you need to do is ditch the 'which diet' mentality. Do you really plan on not eating bread, rice, pasta or gluten for the rest of your life. Heck I know I don't!! Learn portion control and moderation and eat foods that you enjoy. That's not a license to…

I love yoga!! Fortunately I have about 4 studios close to where I live, so I have lot's of options for classes. Also YogaWorks has a great series of DVD's for yoga (a beginner sequence, core sequence and a cardio sequence). I recommend them all...probably can get a good deal on amazon. Also youtube has tons of free yoga…

How do we lose weight? Calorie deficit!! Sooooo....(and it always pains me to say this)....NO EXERCISE REQUIRED!! In fact....(oh boy this really hurts)....healthy food is not a requirement either. I'll revisit exercise and healthy food in a bit. Basically all that is required for you to lose weight is to stay in calorie…

30DS is a great quick workout....but I never do it consecutive days in a row (I start to develop calve and knee pain if I do). I'll intersperse other workouts in between. Example - 30DS on one day, maybe a 3 mile walk the next day, straight on weight lifting the day after that. Basically the way I look at it is - 30DS is a…

Yep! This too! We tend to wallow in the past or run manically into the future. STOP. Enjoy the moment :flowerforyou:

Clean my car!!!!! It's gross right now. My backseat is loaded with an assortment of footware - flips flops, flats, gym shoes, boots...fairly certain there are some dirty gym socks floating around back there too. I'm a neat housekeeper! Why can't I keep my car clean!?!?
-
I have a space heater that's looks like a pot belly stove at home and I run it on high sometimes when I want a hot yoga experience. I find the air can be a bit dry though....a humidifier wouldn't be a bad idea! All in all it makes for a pleasant toast environment to practice yoga.

Ugh. They let any idiot be a fitness instructor these days. No...she's full of crap. Unless you're a diabetic just use commonsense when consuming sugar. Sugar from fruit is fine (does not give you a license to eat 6 apples in one day). Sugar from treats (cookies, candy, cake ect) is..............well delicious …

Awwww poor guy!! I hope he has a full recovery soon!!!! Sending positive thoughts your way!

Then eat some bread! Everything in moderation. Watch your portions.

Both! Proper exercise done correctly is never a waste of time!!

If you have a history with eating disorders - adopting a very restrictive diet is not healthy. Please speak to your Doctor or Counselor before you relapse.
