Well, everyone said what I was going to say. Sodium. Just keep yourself hydrated and it will disappear. Sometimes it takes almost a week for me. :grumble:

I am up 4 this week just from sodium. If you have increased your workouts you could be retaining a little water from that too. Just keep doing what you know is right and it will all even out. ;)

I'm up a couple pounds today but I had Sunbway yesterday and some taco meat last night on a salad. Sodium always kills me. I have had a ton of water today so hopefully that will help. Like the above poster said it's a roller coaster ride. I try not to rely on the scale so much. I am going to count this as a NSV....I have…

Food is what we use to fuel our bodies, nothing more, nothing less. I used to weigh well over 300 pounds myself so I know where you are coming from when you think food is evil. Food is not evil. Our ATTITUDE toward food is evil. You have to change your way of thinking and your stigmas against certain foods and places. I…

I love Leslie! I can "walk" at home when the weather is not bearable outside. She is encouraging for every one at different levels. Love me some Leslie!

If you are hungry eat something healthy. I had already completed my diary and was under my calories but I was hungry so I ate an apple. Just make good choices. Good luck! The apple put me over by 104 calories....

Phenomenal change and I know you feel better!!!! Thanks for being an inspiration!

I had lapband 07.15.06 and have absolutely no regrets. I lost 85 lbs the first year after surgery. (I was over 200 lbs overweight....) I stopped losing after I lost the initial amount, gained about 15 lbs back. I found MFP and have lost 30 lbs so I am at my lowest since surgery. As with any surgery it is just a tool.…

You are already beautiful and you are headed in the right direction for you. Enjoy the photos and enjoy this time in your life. You will be able to look back and see where you have been. I started out at 335 lbs and I married my husband at 252. I am now 239 lbs and still weigh almost 100 lbs more than him (plus I am a…

You rock!!!! I hope I am half as fit as you at 79!!!

Is it necessary for my office to be 64 degrees?

I weigh every day twice a day. HOWEVER, I only log on Friday morning. It works for me, might now work for you. Just don't be a slave to the scale because that is only half the story. The way you feel, the way your clothes fit, your endurance....all these are more important than a number!

Talk to your doctor and find a different birth control pill. There are tons on the market. My periods used to be excruciating and now they last 1-2 days (maybe) with hardly any cramping. In the meantime, take ibuprofen (my doctor said it was okay for me to take 800 mg at a time) and do what feels right for you. Best of…

Go see your doctor. A runner friend of mine was having the same issues you describe and she had a stress hip fracture. She was still able to run but had intense pain afterwards. Don't wait until it's too late to see professional help and further damage yourself.

Right around 50 pounds....I am 5'2" and started around 335 lbs(prior to MFP). I was well below 300 before anyone really noticed. Now when I see people that I haven't seen in a couple years and am almost 100 lbs down they do seem to notice. Do it for yourself and no one else!
