  • I'll be in Missouri with the in-laws.... i don't think there will be a vegetable on the spread if I don't prep it myself... i'll probably get some nasty looks, but I'm not eating any chicken or red meat at the moment and don't tolerate dairy or gluten. So, I'll be busy cooking some healthy sides that won't put my system in…

  • This all happened 3 years ago. I make all my own homemade breads with and without yeast, I have gluten free pasta, bread, tortillas, rice etc. The only time I have a reaction is if something has gluten in it. From a toss of flour on a french fry before it goes into the fryer, to a bite of pasta with gluten in it.

  • Eat 2-3 times more lean protein and less carbs and sugar
  • You've opened a can of worms. I started this diet 23 days ago with a ton of criticizm from my friends and family. I'd been asked "when I was due" way too many times over the past few months so I decided to ignore everyones scrutiny and try it out. I was pretty sceptical too. Well I lost 15.5 lbs in 21 days of taking the…

  • Tortilla soup For the chicken and stock you can make your own by boiling a whole chicken in salted water with an onion, a couple of carrots, the juice of one lemon, and a few stalks of celery. De-bone it once it's cooked and cooled enough to handle. Otherwise, if I'm in a pinch, I'll use store bought stalk, a de-bone…
  • The problem for you will be finding the ingredients for sauces and such.. Do you have a market that sells dried chiles? That will be a huge help! For some really yummy roasted salsa that you can make chile verde or baked enchiladas heres a good one. 8 medium size tomatillos peeled and rinsed 1-2 fresh jalapenos (depending…
  • Flat out wraps are amazing! 90-100 calories depending on the flavor and very low glycemic load. I spread them with a wedge of laughing cow cheese, sliced chicken or turkey breast, sliced hearts of palm, mixed greens, shredded carrots and cabbage and a couple slices of tomato. They're delicious! My husband loves them. He…

  • If you can sacrifice your normal distance and spend 6-8 weeks building up the miles, then i'd highly recommend the vibrams. I purchased a pair a few years back and had no patience with building miles in them. I wanted to go out and run a 10k the first day and that wasn't going to happen. So, they stayed in the closet while…
  • Vibram five fingers. I'll never purchase a different pair of shoes. It's helped my stride, my hips, my arch.... everything! Just start out at low miles and work your way up...

  • My favorite is to dip baked potato chips and then top them with crystal hot sauce. Even my seven year old little sister loves it. I think using it as a dip or in a smoothie would help instead of just plain

  • My family owns 13 Mexican restaurants and here's our recipe 2 ripe avocados mashed Juice of one (very juicy) lime 1/4 cup freshly minced cilantro Tsp. salt Stir and enjoy. Avocados are so delicious alone that you don't need anything like guac mix, sourcream or mayo. Let the fruit speak for itself
  • Melba toasts. They have 15 calories each and minimal ingredients, whole grain... it's still goign to take some self control to keep the portion low. I allow myself one at lunch and one at dinner
  • We make our carnitas with a can of seltzer water and 3 tbls of molasses...
