Good to meet you @MikePfirrman and wife. Your wife sounds exactly like me - same issues except MTHFR which I haven't been checked for. I have taken all the B's (extra) for most of my life anyhow. Glad you two are doing better! It never pays to 'ignore' medical issues. We know they don't go away on their own....

Off to work in 4 hours....sort of, but not really, looking forward to it.

What? What does 5% acclimated to the heat even mean, and how the heck do you measure something so dependent on your point of view? I just think the more 'woo-woo' gadgets and measurements the new tech can throw at you, the more money they think they can charge for their device. lol that's just silly.

I have one word..... rhubarb. Rhubarb in and on everything. My plants are going Spring crazy. Rhubarb & cucumber salsa on chicken. Rhubarb in borscht (ok, not LC but truly delicious.) Stewed rhubarb for dessert sweetened with Sweet Leaf Strawberry Kiwi stevia water drops.

7 inches of snow!! We had a snowstorm here over one of the passes on the Okanagan Connector (fairly high altitude piece of nasty highway) the other day and a couple of cars went off the road, ice pellets and hail too. Yuk. Of course by now everyone has their summer 'all seasons' on the vehicle so fat lot of good steering…

The past week and a half I haven't been working. Hubby had a workplace accident and his ladder kicked out and he fell from 20 feet up onto pavement - 'extensively comminuted forearm fracture' and comminuted fracture of his nose, several 4 cm lacerations requiring stitches on his nose and forehead, and a twisted knee and…

Is it possible to get a list of recent grads from vet colleges in the states surrounding, @sufferlandrian? Maybe a newer grad might be more amenable to your clinic's way of doing things.... just a thought. More advertising needs to be done by vet colleges since there appears to be a shortage. It would certainly be an…
-
@sufferlandrian, it takes me two weeks to do 72 hours.... I do think you need to stick to weeknights. Sorry to hear about your Monday night (ex)patient. BTW, ringlets/pre-dreads are now gone, I feel so much lighter and freer although hair is still curly. Not that I don't like a chat with sufferlandrian, but where are all…

Hi @sunshinedaydream21 Here's a helpful thread from a while back: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10766400/weight-loss-hair-loss#latest

That wouldn't take long, as my hair is naturally curly anyhow. I already have ringlets, lol.

I'd like to get out on the lake for a paddle, but no time right now either to load 'er up, grab my husband away from work or 'yard stuff,' skip the grocery shopping, and dip my paddle in. A bit sad about that. Gardening stresses me.... I like gardens, I just hate gardening. Weeds, and trying to figure out if that thing I'm…

@erin3011 what were the cutlets breaded with? They look pretty tasty.

Just throwing my 2 cents in... agreeing with all the above posters, try to focus on real foods closer to the whole animal/whole plant, not substitute foods that are quite processed... the shorter the ingredient list on a food the better. In fact if it doesn't even have an ingredient list that's the best, lol.

WhooHoo! I have an appointment with my hairdresser on the 29th! I feel a bit like a sheepdog, but at least not like a Komondor, lol.

Perfect on the E-bike trips! It makes it more of an enjoyable outing for both friends if something can even out their skills or fitness levels. I haven't even been out on my bike yet this year, or in the canoe.... hubby is working too much, we never seem to have a proper day off together that doesn't involve catching up…

Dunno, I seem to have kept the same heart rate throughout my adult years. Generally 60 resting. Didn't matter when I was overweight, or at my lowest, eating higher healthy carbs or low carbing, working as a fitness trainer or totally sedentary when I first became ill with an autoimmune disease. I do know low heart rates…

Bun looks pretty nummy, @psuLemon, is it low carb or 'regular' just fits your macros today? I've been eating too much gluten free toast (which is usually even higher in carb than regular) warm out of the toaster with lots of melting butter. BAD combo... uniform pants are starting to feel quite uncomfy these days. Gotta…

Good to hear you are getting new joy from your riding, cayenne_007. My non-work exercise has totally fallen by the wayside and right now I could care less. I would much rather do something soothing on my minimal time off, like curl up in my chair with a fuzzy lap blanket and a delicious fruity herbal tea for a good read…

Yaaay for a 3 night workweek this week! A bit of a break finally. I had to do a training for patrol last week Thursday, which was a bit awkward as I kept my mask on and gloves on the whole shift since we couldn't really socially distance in a Ford Focus. When I got to the end of the night I was never so glad to rip that…

Soon starting my 9.5 hr '8 hr shift'.... My partner had to use CPR on a gal with a fentanyl overdose in the park washroom last night. Luckily she came round just in time for the paramedics to get there and use the Naloxone kit and get her to the hospital. Some new gal - we've got quite a few new homeless/transients coming…

Local asparagus is in BUT it's $5.98 a lb right now.....mmmmm so tempted, I am spoiled by the flavour and don't even like to buy Washington grown stuff that just started its season last month.

Haha, psuLemon, We had taco salad tonight with 3 avocados worth of guac, bwahaha! And lots of lovely black olives.

What do you call a group of sick crows? Corvid-19 :p

Neighbour tuxedo kitty (Lilly) is a vole catcher too. Fortunately she is not able to catch the birds around here, or I'd buy her a little neck bell. At least she leaves the voles at her 'dad's' door and not ours. She is quite a funny cat as she comes when called and heels at the walk, like a well trained dog. 'Elective…

Keeping track of my family in Italy.... One Zio and Zia (in same household) were in hospital with it, but are recovering at home. Their daughter also had it but she is feeling better and also recovering at home. Canadian family is all OK so far. Keeping up with all the studies and pre-prints (pre-peer reviewed papers) can…

Hi everyone! My 8 hr patrols are leaking over into 9 hours as we have extra stops at the bank ATM 's. Once a few homeless people 'move in' overnight, no one gets to use them. Ugh, tired of this. Our small town of 20,000 just had a Walmart employee test positive last week. Not surprising, since they probably got it from…

Try going just low carb for a few weeks (50-100 g) and see how you feel. Then if you wish just push the carb level lower bit by bit over the course of several months and keep track of any changes. https://ketosummit.com/can-keto-cause-adrenal-fatigue/…

Ouch, police here had to break up a group of teens gathering together in the middle of town. Hubby saw them while working the other day, but someone had already called RCMP. Where are their parents?

Chris Masterjohn, PhD has a great email sendout and blog on this and what the latest studies are showing at to how zinc acetate can block the uptake of the virus into the cells that seem most susceptible. Here's the link. His Coronavirus updates are free to subscribe to. Deep Science-y explanations are included.…
