Weight loss isn't solely down to calorie counting.
-
Do you have to count calories to lose weight? Can you lose weight by making better food choices??
-
But you'd understand the constitution of the food otherwise you wouldn't know you were creating a high calorie salad.
-
But if your goal was to lose weight, why would you create a high calories meal??

This thread is like the teenage daughter I never had.
-
Absolutely! What I said.
-
Absolutely! Everything has its place and use. But we are discussing weight loss and making 'healthier' choices over a consistent period of time without counting the calorie content, creating good habits.
-
Good question, might have to give more thought. I'd say naturally occurring 'one ingredient' foods' Vs manufactured/man made. But I do think 'healthy' is a very loose term, a bit of a red herring if you will, something that cannot be defined. Opinions will be split. I don't think calorie counting is 'healthy' for instance.…

More than one way to create a deficit, not just 'diet' related.

This thread should be renamed Face Palm. I need to articulate myself better or come up with better analogies. But, I like to think most people can determine 'good' from 'bad' food choices. If they can't, then there's no helping them. YES - they need to count calories.

I'll get my coat.

LOUD NOISES!! You must know by looking at a pizza and then a salad, what will have the least amount of calories?
-
OP 'Meals to lose belly fat' - There are none. There. End of.
-
Its a culmination of elements, not just reducing what you eat.
-
It's normal to feel hungry in a deficit of calories. But, are you eating as wisely as possible? Eating foods that help maintain blood sugar levels and energy levels will help you feel more satisfied. Eating satiating foods, basically anything that contains some healthy fat, a good amount of fiber and/or a lot of protein,…
-
Yes, exactly this.
-
Maybe we should be friends then and get our own thread and everything!

There's an app for everything!

This is getting all Pavlovian. I never said I lost weight in a surplus of calories. I lost body fat.
-
A matter of perspective. There's three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way and the way that I do it.
-
Higher impact foods, such as fats.
-
Haha!!
-
Precisely my argument. Take a hella peas to make you obese.
-
You need liberating. Throw away the scales, REVOLUTION!!
-
I don't 'claim' to be a freak. I AM ONE!!
-
Can't argue with that, but when it comes to counting peas, something went wrong.
-
Regardless, I think we all have good intentions here, however, its what works for that individual. There is no right or wrong way to go about things.

The common belief that caffeinated beverages don’t contribute to hydration is a myth. It's a nutritionalists 'old wives tale'. You'd have to eat the coffee raw. The fundamental aspect of a cup of coffee is the water its made with.

Hallelujah brother!! Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas! Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight. I have exorcised the demons! My work here....is done.
-
Of course it is! My point is, the choices you make will ultimately affect the outcome. If you had pizza every night for dinner, and you replaced that with say salad, then you know it won't be the same. I'm not saying you have to eat the equivalent in salad to pizza calorie wise, I'm saying YOU WILL KNOW WITHOUT COUNTING…
