It's my understanding that you can't build muscle on a deficit but it will help you maintain what you already have. As for eating back your calories burned I've also been told to never eat more then half back as most tools used to measure are over estimated.

I think yes, I love my Fitbit One best purchase I've ever made :) it has helped me go from 3000 steps a day ( this shocked me) to an average of 10500.

I'm so sad I read this post. I never needed to know what a blue taco was..... This should have a disclaimer. Do NOT Google out of curiosity Sorry I didn't realize hitting reply under the post wouldn't show it as a quote. Learn something new every time I come on here :)

For me it has been making small easy switches like Greek yogurt for sour cream and unsweetened apple sauce for butter in baking. I also love the birds eye frozen vegetables they have them for everything and it makes putting a last minute healthy dinner together super easy.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with your mother being so awful.. That's not the way it's suppose to be and there is no excuse for her behaving that way you and your sister deserve better and she probably needs therapy. As for your weight loss journey, you've already lost 60lb -- WOW and congrats your clearly not a quitter…

Thank you all for taking the time to answer. I totally agree that everyones goal is their own and personally use MFP for my whole goal then give myself mini rewards for every 5lb and 10lb.
