Thank you! I will be participating, that's just about the right time of day for me. Triangle on both sides?

3.5 pounds in a month is about right if you're looking to lose a pound a week. I am a slow loser too, it's taken me 5 months to lose about 20 pounds. I don't think any one certain type of eating (clean, paleo, iifym, etc) is the answer to weight loss. It's all about calories in versus calories out. I noticed when I ate…

I second this! If I'm looking to burn calories, yin isn't what I'd pick. It's more of a routine I would do before bedtime.

Awesome, thank you for sharing!

You look great!

I personally like it, it's just an easy breakfast or lunch for me since I'm out the door by 5:30am. They sell sample packs if you wanted to try it out and see for yourself. Not everyone is going to agree on one certain product, you just need to find what works for you.

I fit into a size 14 from Lane Bryant. Before this I wore a 16/18 depending on where I bought them from.

I started back in May, kind of slacked off for June when the kids were out of school, and now my husband and I practice 3 or 4 times a week. I really want to do the 108 consecutive days, but there are just days I don't have it in me and I either rest or lift some dumbells.

All of the above posters suggested good websites and DVDs. I'll throw in another good DVD set. It's called Ultimate Yogi with Travis Eliot. Love love love this one!

That's what I thought too, lol! I'm from the area, just not the town you mentioned.

Good luck, and have fun! :)

I'm 42 and I can totally relate! I gained 20+ pounds last year after surgery, and have only lost 15 of it so far. I could stand to lose about 50 besides that, and it definitely feels like it comes off slower than it used to. I haven't been the strictest with my food, but I'm doing better than I was before I tracked it.…

Mine has never really brought it up. I mentioned it at my checkup earlier this year because I've gained 20+ pounds since my hysterectomy. Combine being fat with being tired, he wrote me a prescription for an antidepressant, which I never filled. I'm not depressed, I have teenage girls and I work full time...That's why I'm…

^^^^ This! So much this! Mine is 15 and still tries to guilt me over things. Sometimes it really bothers me, but I have to remind myself that I need the "me time" in order to be a good parent.

^^^^ LOL! I've lost 10 dozen large eggs.

:drinker: LOL...that's pretty much every forum, where everyone likes to argue about the right and wrong way to do things.

Welcome to the group!

If you like smoothies and shakes, keep the bullet and do what makes you happy. There are so many different opinions on here, you just have to do what works for you.

You're welcome!

That's my favorite too! Yoga really is life changing, in my opinion. When I get on a roll and get on the mat every day, I feel amazing. It's been off and on for me the last few weeks, and I can tell a difference in my attitude, I need to get back to daily. If you get a chance, check out stuff by Travis Eliot. I have a dvd…

I say go for it. Start out with some youtube videos, or free online sites like doyogawithme.com and experiment around with styles you like. I do the Ultimate Yogi dvd set and I by no means have a yoga body, lol. My husband is 6 feet tall, and about 270ish, and he gets in there and does it with me sometimes. There are ways…

Wortham, TX here. It's just a mapdot between Dallas and Waco.

I'm coming in late to this thread too, but I'm going to add my own goals. The biggest one is just making it to the mat everyday, I struggle with this sometimes after a long day at work, kids, household stuff, etc. The other goal is to just work on the poses that seem to be my nemesis, like revolved half moon and lizard.…

The ones I have bookmarked are yogabycandace.com and yogagypsy.blogspot.com. Can't wait to check out some of these others :)

SO glad to know I'm not the only one! I weigh daily, and at night after bathroom trips, lol. The scale fluctuates so much for me, and moves so slowly so I like to catch the lowest weight of the week  It's probably a little disordered, but it helps keep me on track!

This thread makes me want to dust off the c25K app again in the worst way!

Welcome to all the new members! I love seeing yoga having a positive effect on people :flowerforyou:

I would try the regular yoga to start off with, and maybe later on try a hot class. I've never taken a hot yoga class, but a good power or flow class makes me sweat buckets already!

Just about any meat that comes from a can is nasty, I didn't even know they sold chicken from a can.

I have some eggplant from my garden last year that has been frozen. Can it be thawed and roasted, or will the texture be off?
