Exactly this. I write down my weight every Thursday morning but I'm the same way when it comes to putting it in MFP. This is why some 7 day periods I don't lose any weight and then others I lose 5. That sudden drop in weight was just a day away and the next 7 days the weight comes off quicker. I feel people who get…

I weigh every day and will continue to do so. Saying for everyone that does that to STOP is a pretty dumb statement. I like numbers and seeing what food and other activities do to my weight and obviously it hasn't been detrimental to my weight loss or attitude.

I know this isn't really part of the question but 6 pints of pure water is a lot. 96 oz. The recommended intake is 91 oz of water from ALL fluids. Food and other liquid you ingest. I don't know if that could be the problem but you might want to scale back on the actual water. You do get a lot of water intake from other…

Some people don't get discouraged at fluctuations. And I don't say that as a negative towards people who do. I weigh every day. I like numbers and I can predict my trends at this point. It's actually pretty cool. For people who have a lot to lose like myself, it DOES measure success. If you're just 15 pounds overweight,…

I too died once from eating bread

How much I sleep has no effect on my weight loss. And frankly it doesn't make any sense that it would for anyone. I don't believe it. I get as little as 4 hours of sleep some times on workdays and as much as 10 on weekends when I have nothing to do. Sure, if you don't get enough sleep you will feel tired and sluggish but…

Eating after a certain time definitely doesn't matter in terms of weight loss or control but I have heard it can cause problems trying to fall asleep, which I can see making some sense because food=fuel. I usually eat my last meal about 3 1/2 hours before bed so I can't really comment from a personal POV but I hope he…

Hmm that's different. Haven't seen anyone do it like that on here before. Obviously it's working for you though.

Ughh there is almost no reason to eliminate pre packaged food. This person is going off of "sodium is bad" I'm assuming which a lot of packaged food has. Unless you have HBP or consume too little water, there's no reason to be afraid of sodium. I've lived on pre packaged, high sodium food while on MFP and I seem to be…

Here's what I have. I started at 351, and I have ~13 more pounds before I'm below 300. That's goal #1. My next goal will be 233 which is what my ticket is set at. 233 would get me out of an obese BMI. Don't set time goals for yourself, those just set you up for disappointment. They'd also be really hard to calculate…

Oh yes. I take them every 30 days. Day 1 and 30, no difference. Day 30 and 60 HOLY CRAP. 1 from the front and 1 from the side. 351 to now at 313 I can see a clear difference. Down about a size and a half in pants. Went from tight 46 to comfortable 44 and could squeeze into a 42 but not yet. Shirts probably won't change…

Part of that is MY opinion, the other part is referring to BACK health. So no it is not nonsense. Thanks for trying though.
-
So smaller breasts aren't better for your back health compared to larger breasts? That's what I was referring to.
-
All sorts of YES to this post. Smaller is healthier too.

I disagree with "first on last off". Not sure if that's just a saying used because it seems like the majority of people always lose from the least wanted areas first or what but as a large man I've lost from my chest considerably and it's always been a problem for me.

Should have started earlier. In 8 days the most FAT weight you can expect to lose is 3ish pounds. If you do drop the 10 pounds it will be a combination of water weight, fat, and maybe even muscle.

I can't speak for the H7 but I do have the FT7. It's comfortable, and I'm a big guy. You can get them pretty "cheap" if you look, $70. It does not link to MFP which I think is good because I don't put in all my exercise calories in anyway. If it's not steady cardio, NO heart rate monitor will be accurate but the FT7 is one…

Newsflash: everything causes some sort of disease.

I only chuckled because I thought I was the only one who had that fear when I started running. But at the time at 351 maybe it wasn't irrational lol. Anyways good job!
-
Does this put you over your calories for the day? No? Then you're good.
-
Everything, if not a 100% organic vegetable "causes cancer" to you people. I work on proof. Nothing else.

It's mainly people who fear processed food. Which is dumb. A lot of subway sandwiches have a lot of protein which is good. I go there a few times per month. I usually get the oven roasted chicken. Just go on the website and look up the nutritional info. The sweet onion sauce is a tasty low calorie option too just FYI
-
Processed food fearing and the one ingredient crap. You aren't original, nor are you more correct than eating however you want in moderation.
-
Time and not consuming those same foods for a few days. Or anything else that can dehydrate you like caffeine.
-
Is there a reason you need to go low sodium? High blood pressure or something? If not then don't really worry about sodium. But when you go to the deli section, all the packaged meats that are low sodium will be marked. Just choose from those.
-
Any medical reason to watch your sugar? No? Don't worry about it. You can't go far enough over it to be a problem while staying under calories so don't give any thought to it Carbs, fat, and protein are the 3 you should put effort in to hitting.

I don't think there is any real answer someone can give you. It totally depends on your body. There's people like me, who prefers about 60°F and then there's my dad who will turn the heat on in the house when it's 75 outside.
-
Polar FT7 is what I have. I'm a big guy and it's really comfortable to me. No bunching up, pinching, or scratching. It's probably one of if not the most accurate out there. But like someone else said, only use it for steady cardio, not weights.
-
Just curious, what do you consider "excess sodium"?

Damn you this is the second time TODAY I saw this topic on recent posts and both times I thought "oh great here we go again". Fool me once...
