Mexican restaurant nutrition info
So the past week has been an onslaught on my "diet". My mother came to visit (mine, my mom's and my sisters birthdays are all within a week) and it's been nothing but eating out. Besides my birthday I've been able to stay under maintenance and I'm not worried about that really but tonight is my sisters birthday dinner and…

Anyone know how to determine the size of pants? (No tag)
So I'm at that point to where I need to start looking for new pants. I started at a tight 46 inch waist and I'm in desperate need for smaller pants. I went to a thrift shop and got some pants that were a little snug but wearable. Only thing is they don't have any tags on them. My initial thought was they were 44s but after…

How to not feel guilty
So I've been perfect for my first two months but tonight I had a couple friends over and we drank and smashed on some pizza. Totally ruined my day. I know one day won't hurt anything but I can't help feeling guilty. What does everyone else do to not feel guilty?

Asking people if they can see a difference- thoughts?
So I'm approaching 60 days on MFP and in my new lifestyle. I've gone from 351 to 321 as of a couple days ago. All I've done is weighed my food, counted calories, and cut down on the junk while not completely eliminating it (other than pop/soda, that's GONE). I know a lot of people who post to the success stories midway…

Ground turkey stuffed peppers

Ground turkey (I used Jennie-O) 1 large bell pepper Chopped onion Garlic powder 1 ozShredded CheesePre heat oven at 400° Brown your ground turkey in a skillet over medium high…

Maintaining goal weight seems insanely easy
So I put in my information for when I expect to be at my goal. 21 male 74 inches tall weighing 205 pounds. Lightly active. Scooby says my maintaining calories would be 2942. 2942!! This seems absurd to me. I don't know what other sites are credible but if you know of one can someone link me? Thanks

Tired of seeing the same post
"I stopped losing weight, I eat a <1200 diet and I just magically stopped losing weight" SO ANNOYING. If you're going to make a change in your life, at least educate yourself about it first. There's no reason to only eat 1200 calories per day! I doubt there's many people who should eat less than 1500 calories. People just…

Why are people scared of carbs?
Speaking in terms of weight loss, why do people do low carb diets? What's the point? Is there some medical condition that if you eat a lot of carbs you will gain weight? Weight loss= calories in < calories out. Nothing to do with carbs. I feel like people want to seem like they are doing something special when really it's…

Is a 204 heart rate dangerous?
First, I'm male, 6'2" 337 pounds. Now, I am a lot more athletic than most people my size probably because I'm 19 and I have a generally large frame. I still have way too much fat though (duh obviously). But just thought I'd throw that in for consideration. I love running. I've played sports all my life and it's a way to…

First time using heart rate monitor
So I just got done with my first workout with my Polar FT7 and the results were a little high for what I expected. I realize that there are a billion question just like mine on these boards but I feel that the answers are very specific to that one person. I'm 19, male, 6'2" and 339 pounds. I have everything set up…

I feel I'm losing too much too fast
Today is my 15th day on MFP and adjusting to a no fast food, soda, or junk food "diet" has been pretty easy for me. I'm one of the lucky people who sometimes just has a switch go off in their head to do something. In these 15 days I have lost 11 pounds though. From 351 to 340. I've found that when I don't eat pure junk all…

Is a cheat meal/day good for the long run?
I'm almost 1 week in to eating healthy(er), no fast food, soda, junk food and haven't had the urge or craving for those things other than soda (I had a Mt. Dew Kickstart today but I don't think of that as soda). But I've seen a lot of posts that says it's okay to cheat once in a while as long as you're not going over your…

Choosing an activity level
I just started using MFP so I figured I would ask this before I get too far in to it, I'm confused on the activity level choices. I only work part time right now because I'm 19 and just saving for school but I work ~15 hours a week. All on my feet walking around and lifting boxes. I work at Target. The boxes can be…

Am I doing something wrong? Seems too easy
First off, Im pretty big guy. 350 lbs but I definitely don't feel or look it. 6'2". I have my settings as 2 lbs per week and lightly active. MFP gives me 2740 calories per day. I've cut out the fast food and pop and junk food but I'm not exactly eating bowls of fruit. Today I had a waffle with peanut butter and chobani…
