  • Tried this tonight and they were fantastic! Didn't taste exactly like french fries, but pretty close. Next time will cook a little less. My hubby thought they tasted like fries. I skipped the ketchup but put mustard mixed with Tapatio on them (which is what I put on fries). Thanks for sharing this-fun way to get veggies…
  • I love using resistance bands and body weight exercises. I bought a weight bench but rarely use it: You can sub a stability ball for the bench and work your core. You can also get door attachments for the bands so you can do lat pulldowns, flyes, etc. I still have a gym membership but rarely go. I love the convenience of…
  • She has an amazing figure....Gives this Italian girl with a small waist, biggish hips and an Oakland booty something to strive for!!!
  • I love the FIRM Express and other FIRM DVDs. Great variety, great way to get your heart rate up. You can modify to amp it up or down. I also like Leslie Sansone. Try Gaiam TV at www.gaiamtv.com. They have FIRM DVDs, Leslie Sansone, Jillian Michaels...other ones produced by Gaiam. You can do a 10 day free trial, then it is…
  • I don't really rely on it, but it is motivating when I've had a "good" day. Kinda makes me feel like I should stay on track (although I never really paid too much attention to test the accuracy of it). Jackie
  • I have a Polar FT7 and Polar FT40. FT7 is a nice basic model. I love them both because I can transmit all my workout info to the Polar Personal Trainer site via FlowLink (available separately) and track my workouts and progress. I use the site mainly for making sure I work out in my fitness zone a minimum of 150…
  • Yep, I did NS too a while back and got really bored with the meals. Some of the meals were good, especially breakfasts and some lunches, but most of the dinners and snacks were less than appetizing. For a while, I ordered just breakfast foods because some were very tasty and filling. They publish their nutritional…
  • Weight Watcher here, too! Bottom line is keeping a food journal in one way or another. I find that I go back and forth between tracking points and tracking here. I do find it easier (most of the time) to journal on MFP and like the feedback I get when I complete my food diary for the day. I also find the message boards…
  • I really like the FIRM DVDs. Some of my favorites are Calorie Explosion; Target Toning: Zero in Ten; Pump, Jump, and Jab; and Cardio Party. I also like one of the newer ones called Time Crunch Cardio. The FIRM Express system is actually my mainstay of my workouts, however, is pricey at $89. You can purchase two FIRM DVDs…
  • Yep, prepay is the way to go-if you're going to use it!! I got a three year pre-pay at 24 Hour Fitness for $549 with first year guaranteed renewal of $49/year. Not sure if it will increase after that (only first year is guaranteed). I also belong to Anytime Fitness and pay 19.99/month. Not as many amenities (pool,…
  • December 31 is my birthday, so I ALWAYS eat whatever I want on this day!! :drinker: So far, I have eaten 1600 calories today and am looking forward to a great seafood buffet dinner tonight. Happy New Year!
  • I like Gaiam TV at www.gaiamtv.com. Free trial, monthly subscription gives you access to workouts (cardio, core, yoga, etc.) and other DVDs. I am a dedicated FIRMie and use it all the time for FIRM DVDs.
  • I would still go with your HRM. I often compare what my HRM says and what the machine says. MOST of the time, the machines overestimate when compared to my HRM; however, some machines show a lower calorie amount compared to the HRM. Polar is a good brand, too, especially if you have a model that considers your VO2 max!!!
  • Oops...fogot one really good one: Click Click Boom by Saliva. I'm loving looking up all these songs: Thanks everyone for helping all of us update our playlists for the New Year!

  • I am not a runner either and was doing elliptical at the gym but got bored. I do DVDs at home that incorporate cardio intervals with strength training. Love the variety.
