  • I think it just depends on your body chemistry, heredity, etc... Every one says lost weight = lost boobs, but I'm down 120+lbs, and am still a 38G... :-(
  • fabulous!! keep it up!! :-D
  • my weakness in ben & jerry's (chunky monkey)... that's the one thing i can't keep in the house!! all the other junk food can stay and it doesn't tempt me, but if I have chunky monkey in the freezer, i can't resist it... :-D
  • Great job!! I'm starting running again too, and finding the more I run, the more I get back into enjoying it!! :-D
  • I don't east back my exercise calories, but I do log them... I use it to keep track of my exercise... If I have a week where I don't lose much, it helps me to see how much exercise I did (or didn't do) that week... It keeps me motivated when I don't feel like exercising. I can look back and say "last time I didn't exercise…
  • I start to feel like that whenever my shoes are wearing out... my hips feel it waaaay before my feet do... You're supposed to get new shoes every 300 miles, and i was averaging about every 650...
  • Also, check the weight setting on the machine if you didn't reset it when you got on.. 600+ calories is off for anything
  • I just put the lowest... But spinning and cycling are two different things... :-)
  • I realize that I don't gain as much as I would if I weren't at a deficit... My problem is with blanket statements that say "no one can do this"... there are exceptions to everything... :-D
  • No, I can FEEL how large my muscles are under the fat, and they are bigger than they were when I started... I do know a thing or two about my own body... ;-) i realize that IN GENERAL it's true, but there are some obese people that are extremely inactive (like I was), and when they start lifting REAL weight, they will gain…
  • Totally agree with this... I've lost 117 lbs (on a 1200 calorie diet). I had almost no muscle tone when I started, and have MUCH larger and stronger muscles now... I get that it's probably because I had so little muscle to begin with, but some people CAN build muscle on a deficit!!
  • I have a problem like that... to lose 2lbs a week, I need to have way less than 1200 calories... so I just eat 1200, and make up the difference with excercise... I know you're *supposed* to eat back your excercise calories, but I dont, and it's been working for me... I hit a plataeu every now and then and, when I do, I eat…
  • i had the same thing, then realized i was so excited to able to run again that i kept forgetting to stretch first (i know, i know, i knew better than that!!) :-/
  • I've lost 117lbs... feel free to add me... I'm not on all day, but I check it every mornin and hit up my friends to encourage them... And good job and getting started!! I found that that was the hardest part in losing weight... Saying "That's it, I'm gonna do this"... :-D
  • I have wiifit plus, and use it 3 times a week... My flexibility has increased tremendously, and i have lost over 100lbs... It's no longer the only thing I do for excercise, but when I first started (first 6 months) I would do a pilates/yoga routine on wiifit for about an hour... I don't think it's intense enough to be the…
  • I struggled with excercise in the beginning too... I think it's part making it a habit, and part finding a way to excercise that you enjoy... What helped me get into daily excercising was building a pilates/yoga routine on the wii... It's low impact so i didn't hurt myself starting out, and relaxing (but tough when you…
  • Don't get discouraged... when you first start excercising (or increase your load), you build muscle and it can slow weight loss, or even cause an increase!! My weight goes up a pound or so every time I increase my workload, but my clothes are getting looser... That's why it's important to look to things other than the…
  • This one is also good... http://fa53.com/ (just scroll down to "APFT and Body Fat Calculators"... also has some good apps to help prepare for basic (general orders, etc)
  • Rum!!! :-) Yummy!!
  • great job!! i have a pair of my old pants that i actually keep for the days i feel down and frustrated, to remind me of how far i've come... :-D
  • You also need to eat a variety of foods to make sure you get all the nutrients you need... no one food has it all, you need a balance... But I wouldn't think a few days will matter... Especially if you take vitamins... :-) (i know vitamins aren't as good as getting nutrients from food, but better than nothing...)
  • this is what i do, as well... i just log the time, and change the calories to match what the wii says i burned... :-D
  • I tried zumba for the wii, but I like it a lot better on xbox kinect... :-D
  • I've been using wiifit plus for a year now, and i've lost 100+ pounds. I usually excercise for and hour on the wii (strength and yoga) 3 days a week, and strength training (light weights since I just started the strength training) 3 days a week... And some extra times when we play wiifit as a family... :-)
  • I don't use a hrm, and I've lost just over 100lbs total... I usually eat about half my exercise calories, more if I'm hungry, less if I'm not. I think (like everything else involving weight loss) what works depends on the individual... :-D
  • WTG!! That's fabulous!! :-D
  • it's funny, i didn't feel like i was carrying that much extra weight until i tried carrying her around this morning!! Definitely a difference!! No WONDER I was tired all the time... lol
  • I go there about once a week or so, but I get a 6" veggie sub on honey oat w/ all the veggies and vinegar instead of mayo/dressing... Skip the chips and soda, and you've got a very filling lunch under 300 calories!! :-)
  • It's not just losing insulation... I had the same problem, and went to my doctor with it. She said i' ve been so cold because 1) lost insulation 2) since I weigh less, It's less work to move my body, so I produce less heat & 3) our body produces heat when we digest food... Less calories = less heat... It made me feel a lot…
