I also have bad knees. You have to build the leg muscles around the knee in order to relieve the joint of pain. Swimming is always a good thing for this. Someone also said modifying moves to be mindful of your knee. See the doctor and make sure he is allowed to workout his lower body FIRST! He doesn't want to further any…

I used it in stir fry a couple times. I also threw shredded coconut in there, too! Pretty good!

You need to remind yourself that this is a life change you chose. You are a strong woman who made a conscious decision to better yourself and your health. You are an inspiration to those around you, even if they don't express that to you! 37 lbs is awesome! Don't give up on yourself!! You are doing fantastic!! :)

a lot of ice cream places serve Wow Cow soft serve ice cream around us. you could look into seeing if any of your establishments do, as well.

It's a 20 mins workout. With warm up and cool down, about 30 mins total. Great workout!

The first couple days are hard, but it does get easier! I'm on day 7 of level 1 and I feel great when I complete the workout! I keep track of it under exercise as circuit training, general. It's about the same amount of calories the HRM shows. Good luck, and don't give up after a couple days. Push through and you'll be…

peanut butter, nutella, almond butter...nutella is probably my fav!

Cocoa butter, definitely. It will stop scarring from happening and help with the irritation/dryness. Good luck!

I also have a bad knee. I needed surgery about 4 yrs ago. It still acts up now and again. The best exercise for your joints is swimming. That being said, you would need to have access to a pool. I have found that yoga and pilates have been easy on my joints as well. Hope this helps in some way! Good luck and take care! :)

Have you consulted your doctor? I have had bruises that had knots in them before and it just took time for them to heal. But I would ask your doctor to make sure. I saw the bruises you're talking about and they are HUGE! Good luck and take care! :)

I do a 2 week veggie/fruit detox whenever I'm feeling sluggish or my stomach starts bothering me, about 3 to 4 times a year. It makes me feel better.

Not sure if there's a Wegman's near you, but they sell a calorie free dressing in lots of flavors, including honey mustard, ranch, bleu cheese, raspberry vinaigrette, and not sure what else. I have soy allergies and it's one of the few dressings I can have. Hope this helps! :)

I quit 7 years ago, and yes, I put on a little weight. I have since taken that and more off. Once you realize you can jog or walk fast without gasping for air, you'll be so glad you quit! You can taste your food again, can be active, and eventually, be repelled by the smell of smoke. My husband quit with me and he'll tell…

I take diced broccoli, diced asparagus, olive oil & taco seasoning and saute in a skillet. I make veggie tacos from the mix! I also grill any veggie with olive oil and garlic in tin foil on the grill outside. Asparagus is my favorite as well as potatoes. Hope this helps! :)

Big difference! Great job! Keep it up! :)

This is the easiest fondant recipe I know. You don't have to be an expert, you just need to have a rolling pin and a flat counter! Hope this helps! Oooo, and don't forget to frost the cake first! Not thick, just a thin frosting to hold on the fondant! Fondant recipe Ingredients * 1 cup light corn syrup * 1 cup shortening *…

Kabobs are always good! You can use turkey, chicken, shrimp, any meat really and add any veggies you like or fruit! :)

Never ignore pain. It's your body's way of telling you there is something wrong. You should ice and elevate your knee(s) and see if that helps the pain. I would not recommend doing the workout until you heal. If the ice and elevation aren't working, you definitely need to see the doctor. I had knee surgery a couple years…

It's great on veggies, tortilla chips, pita chips, pretzels, or anything else you can dip. If it's plain hummus, you can add flavors to it, like garlic, red peppers, hot peppers, and any flavor you like. It's good stuff! :)

A good snack for night time is Emerald's Cocoa dusted Almonds. You can have 16 for 150 calories. They're a good source for a little protein after a workout, too. I have them to curb my chocoholic side! They taste kind of like a Hershey's with almonds bar.

If you go to the ice cream parlor, see if they have Wow Cow soft ice cream. I've had several different flavors and I like them all!

I'm newerish! lol! I also have let the past 10-15 years creep up on me. I know exactly how you feel. I keep picking myself up and going at it with my calorie intake. I've kinda been slacking on the gym part, though. Too many excuses to mention! Just good to remember that I'm not alone doing this! Good luck on your journey…

This site is great not only for keeping track of your diet and exercise, but great for motivational purposes, too! I started a couple months ago and it's been very rewarding for me. Even now when I've plateaued, I know there are people struggling just like me and they keep going. Good luck with your goals! :flowerforyou:

I have eaten many times and they will make your food the way you want to. I have several food allergies and they haven't given me any problems with special ordering at all. Enjoy your meal and time with your family out! :)
