I weighed 130 ish and still weighed the same even after 3 kids. I've only been fat for a couple of years. I don't like it!

I just wanted to say that the first step is recognizing the problem. You can do this! :-)

Oh, I haven't listened to Limp bizkit in forever! I'll be downloading some right now! I love threads like these. :-)

Maybe try working up to speed walking. I did it, and my husband who is an avid runner (military) went speed walking with me and it killed his legs! When speed walking became easy for me, I tried running and it worked! I couldn't run hardly at all when I first started out, speed walking reallllly helped me excel. :-)

Yep, what everyone else said. If you lost 6 you can lose more! You can do this even with your asthma issues. Pretty inspiring if you ask me. :-)

For anyone whos into hip hop, TI has a new song out "Love This Life". Pretty awesome song! And Marilyn Monroe by Nicki Minaj.

I love having new stuff to listen to so currently I LOVE: No interruption-Hoodie Allen Give your heart a break- Demi Lovato Wide Awake- That Perry chick She doesnt mind- Pitbull Remix I don't know what it is about sex songs, but they certainly keep me going. It's part of my motivation for working out. I wanna look good…

Awesome! Thanks guys! I'm definitely keeping at it. It's just that mindset of "the scale must go down!" that I have to break through. I love everything I'm doing and the only hard part seems to let go of my need to step on a scale. Thank goodness that's the hard part now! Tameko2, I'm in my second week and my squats have…

Insanity is not that bad. I started out with it, haven't exercised in years when I tried. I couldn't do a whole lot of it but I just kept moving. That's the key. Do what you can with the video and when you can't do what they are, try doing pushups or more squats! Eventually you will be able to do more and more and you WILL…

In my personal opinion, if you had an injury, no. If you are just sore from working your muscles, yes. You don't have to work very hard but at least still do something to work through it. Maybe try speed walking instead of running. Or just run as far as you can and then walk the rest of the way. I've found that working…

I take women's one a day around the time of my monthly visitor. I get super tired and have problems with anemia around this time no matter what I eat or try to do (like exercise, sleep a little longer...ect). I don't get as tired when I take them. Otherwise no, I don't take them. Although my doctor wants to shove Vitamin D…

Going on 11 years in August. Been together for 11 years since March. :-)

I was quite sore after my first couple of work outs. I was a cross between a cowboy and zombie. Not pretty. Now I'm slightly sore but it's not painful like it was. So it does get better!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tJielbx4Jo&feature=related Start looking at youtube videos for ideas. Although I warn you, if you do, you could be there for hours and end up in places you didn't think you'd go. :-) Look at the Scary Snowman pranks, those are hilarious! From watching a few videos, apparently men can be…

From Lil' Wayne: Last year they had the Grammys and left me in Miami / Sleeping on a n**** like I'm rapping in my jammies / I'm rapping when you sleep, I was rapping when you were in jammies / Mel Gibson flew Lethal Weapon, book 'em Danny Let's go, n***** don't see me 'cause I'm better than both / The only time I will…

Our family member is alive, but is almost certain to have suffered brain damage. She's so young! She also lost her adored dog in the accident as well. That dog was like a child to her, she's going to be so heartbroken when she finds out or even remembers, who's know with her injuries. I usually try to be a very positive…

The hardest year of marriage is the one you're currently in. That's a magnet on my fridge. For better or worse is a vow that just isn't the same anymore. Everyone has their breaking points though. What mine my be may not be for others. You have to do what you need to do. But if you do divorce, please keep it civil. You're…

I think the first great step is that you are recognizing what is going on and you care! Now, you just have to want this again! I did the same thing in November and didn't start up again until this month when I started to hate the way I was looking again. So here I am. :-) You can do this!
-
I hate to ask but is your period coming? I have very low energy and feel tired all the time several days before my period shows up. Either way, even if it's not coming, don't stop altogether. Try doing something, anything so that your body doesn't get used to being sedentary. When I feel tired and don't want to do…

Military wife also but in the UK. So hello to all the UK military! :-) Just so you know, my husband's genetics make it so he stores more fat in the gut (he's Nordic, or as I like to say viking LOL). He can run like the wind but he's a big man. He scores lower on his waist measurement but blows it out of the water with all…

Ah, ok. Thanks! I struggled pretty bad at first but my breathing got better pretty quickly. It was my lack of air that stopped me when I first started so I assumed that my legs would get used to it a lot quicker as well but now I know! :-)

Um, nevermind.

My one dog (jack russell/ rat terrier) has just gotten over wanting to bark and try and chase cars while still on lead. We can't break her of her habit for runners and bikers. She just loves things that move fast. My other dog though (cocker spaniel) could care less. However, we never let them off lead unless it's safe to…

I read a couple of the replies and wanted to add that I have lived in Germany and am now in the UK and have never had a problem with anyone on bikes. They ride everywhere over here. I don't know where everyone lives that has such problems but in Europe, it seems to be just fine to me. I really respect how courteous…

I'm in Cambridgeshire!

Jeff29, thanks for the explanation! JNick77, I just started this week. Totally new at doing this at this age though. Haven't lifted since highschool. I will looking into doing what people have suggested, I'm writing all this stuff down to see what will work for me as I go and get some goals!
-
Alypri, I will try to work up to what you are doing. Thanks for giving me a goal of doing both in the same day! Are you at your goal weight doing so much or close to it?
-
Can I ask why to cut the leg and hamstring curls? Are the useless in terms of trying to get some tone in the legs? That's why I started to do them. Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it!

I didn't read anyone's replies so far so forgive me if I repeat. I took my walk to outside. Each time I kept track of my time and tried to beat it. It took me 6 weeks to work up to running and a further two weeks to run a straight mile. I'm now up to 6 miles in an hour. Speed walking worked pretty great for me to build up…

I don't notice other people at all when I'm at the gym. I'm selfishly there for me and no one else. So if anyone is starting at me for whatever reason, I don't know it.
