Lifting but loosing weight
So I’ve been lifting since June of last year. My squat weight and others are still going up but I noticed I’m loosing weight. I’m within normal weight range for my height but obviously looking to loose the fat more. I just started including HIIT sprints a few weeks ago, 2 days a week, lifting heavy and running for about 15…

BMI at 32% and starting Stage 1
Anyone else in my boat? I'm not starting out of no where, I have been exercising and lost 15lbs already but this is a huge struggle compared to what I've done. I complete each session still. However, I want to lose this fat the right way. I run on my days off except Sunday, which is a rest completely day except for walking…

Red light therapy??
Anyone tried it? There is place near where I live that has a bed. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and had success from it. I was thinking of trying it out.

I didn't log in for 3 days
Cause I was busy here...... burned a lot of calories walking up and down these hills and stairs!

Women who strength train!!!
What were your starting weights and what are you up to now? How long have you been doing weight lifting? I started out at squatting 75lbs 3 weeks ago. I'm up to 95 now. Although I read that I should really only be doing 8 reps each set? I've been keeping the lower weight so I can do 15 reps for 4 sets.

Another NSV! Go me!
Last week I had my first NSV with going 7 miles in 1 hour. This week I beat my own personal best with going 7.34 miles in an hour! Then I puked, died and was lovingly resuscitated by my husband with a cookie under my nose. Seriously though, I can thank it all to strength training when 3 weeks ago I was struggling to get…

Easter baskets
It feels like we are the only parents we know who have given up on Easter baskets and candy galore. I hardly feel the need to keep filling my children with candy when my country (and myself) has suffered from obesity. Instead we will have an awesome dinner, movie and snacks during movie. When I grew up we had candy for…

Ab/stregth training question
Ok, so with strength training I have noticed that the top of my abs are getting quite hard without doing a single sit up. Great, right? However, I noticed not a single thing about my lower abs. They never feel like they are being used during any of my strength training, I just can't feel it and am not noticing any…

My first NSV!!!
I've been working so hard to beat my 6 miles in an hour. The most I've done is just over 6. I started weight training and I finally beat my 6 miles. In 1 hour 3 1/2 minutes I ran 7.06 miles! And my legs didn't want to give out underneath me, I was finally out of breath and soaked in sweat. YES!

Plateauing with strength training
I'm just starting my strength training and my weight loss has come to an absolute standstill. I can only assume it's due to weight training, it would make sense. Has any one else (especially women) noticed this? When did you start to drop some weight again? I'm on my second week and the amount I can squat and bench press…

Facebook vent
We live in the UK, all of our family lives in the states. We found on facebook today that a family member of ours had been in a car accident a couple of days ago and just got taken off the ventilator and still has a brain bleed. I can't believe this crap! We ask about people, we keep in touch with people, we care! No one…

Running
My breathing during running is amazing! I can breath through my nose while running, I never get out of breath anymore and can hold a conversation! But my body wants to give out before I want to. My legs get really tired. Does anyone else get this? Plus I'm at that stupid awkward stage of having really nice calves but have…

Another strength training question for a woman
I'm just starting out on this. I do cardio 6 days a week. Every other day is pretty hard, then I "rest" by taking an easier day. On Saturday I do a very light day and nothing on Sunday. I'm now starting to do some weights and wonder if this is good: Monday, Wednesday and Friday I squat 65 lbs (so far, I'm SUCH a newbie!)…

Treadmill running
I have been running at home on my treadmill but my running doesn't seem to get much better even though I have been trying to do different things. I started off being able to run for 10 mins, I increased it to 15 mins, then I switched it up by walking at a very high incline. I try to spend 90 mins a day on a treadmill and…

Grocery shopping questions
I've been wondering about how other people shop. So I have a few questions for anyone willing to answer. What store do you do most of your shopping at? How healthy do you eat? Little, Good, Excellent? How much do you spend for one week? How do you prepare for shopping? (A list or just walk in and grab) How many people are…

Body rejects any soda
Who else here has, for the most part, quit drinking it but every once in a while has some and your body can't handle it anymore? I drank Mt Dew for years (avg of 2, 20oz bottles a day with nothing else for literally months on end), quit, and when I recently had some, it tore my stomach up and actually gave me chest pains.…

What else are you doing?
To look and feel better? I went out and bought some more makeup, clothes and find myself going to spas and getting pedicures for the first time in my life. I've always been a bit of a tomboy. But now I love having my fancy toes to match how good I feel!

Anyone else NOT on a diet?
People ask me what diet I'm on, I always say I'm not. I'm just eating like I should have been. I eat waaaaay more salads and still eat what I want, just in smaller portions and I stay away from junk food. If I have pasta, bread, curry or whatever, it's no big deal. I just eat a smaller portion with some salad and have no…

% of body fat
I went online and did measurements to see where I'm at for body fat. When I put in my height and weight, it comes back at 29%. When I put in my measurements it comes back as 27%. Does anyone else get this? I hope I can lean towards the latter as the number to trust!

New at this
I'm not on a diet. I eat, and have actually started eating breakfast. I've never been a breakfast eater, and only sometimes a lunch eater. So, I've been reading about all these calories and how you should eat them back or go into starvation mode. I've been eating what I like, which seems to be peanut butter crackers, for…

About to hit a wall?
I've started becoming very serious about my weight loss starting the 29th of August. I've been walking, doing Insanity and eating less. I still eat every meal, but it's much less. So far I've lost 12 lbs since then. I'm starting to wonder if this is normal? Losing a LOT of weight to start with but then it drops off and you…
