Body rejects any soda

Who else here has, for the most part, quit drinking it but every once in a while has some and your body can't handle it anymore?

I drank Mt Dew for years (avg of 2, 20oz bottles a day with nothing else for literally months on end), quit, and when I recently had some, it tore my stomach up and actually gave me chest pains. It was awful. I thought maybe it was something I ate the first time, but when the second time occurred, I knew it was the soda a few weeks after the first one. The same thing also happened drinking some alcohol. It's almost like my body can only handle water after I abused it so much. It's a good thing for me in the long run but I'm still kinda shocked over the way my body lived on it for years and now can't even handle anything stronger than milk or water. I never really drank alcohol before and all I've ever had was wine coolers since I quit soda.

I went from having a soda everyday, with every meal to nothing but water, tea, milk, and lemonade. I can't stand the stuff any more! My teeth feel funny, my stomach hurts, and my nose burns from the carbonation in the drinks. I don't know about alcohol since I don't drink very often anyway but soda is a no-no for me anymore.
