I am so grateful for this thread, because I'm in a similar place right now--90+ pounds to lose, and starting from almost completely sedentary. It's really scary and discouraging to walk around the block and feel like you just climbed a mountain. I'm really glad to hear that there is hope, that it isn't going to take years…
