Lol I know better than to listen to advice about 'clean carbs.'

Okay, all I wanted to know. Thanks.

I asked because I didn't know if there were any types if exercise that may help, instead of just turning into a jiggly blob.

Definitely talk to your doctor, as others have mentioned. The baby will take what I needs from you as far as calories and nutrients, so make sure you're eating enough to support you as well as the baby. I got quite big during my pregnancy (weight at delivery was 190) and had no issues losing the weight, I'm actually…

I've had Mirena, Yaz, and multiple other types of birth control. None of them made me gain weight.

So true! I'm 5'7 and weigh around 133, give or take a few pounds. It's the lowest I've weighed in my adult life. The other day I tried on a dress I wore for a formal in college, when I weighed around 140. The dress was tight in the ribcage area, despite weighing less. I've had a baby since then I do think your proportions…

] ^^agree. I have been "recovering" for two years now. I don't engage in behaviors and I really do love myself and I finally have a realistic and healthy attitude on food, portions and my weight. However, if it were not for my child, given a bad day or enough stress I could go back to that in a heartbeat. [/quote] I…

How far into recovery are you? My biggest piece of advice: time. I'm about two years into recovery. I had a baby during recovery, and after he was born I lost my 'overshoot' and baby weight the healthy way. I thought my metabolism was destroyed also, but I really think it just needed time. I'm at my lowest weight of my…

OP, give yourself some time. I was anorexic turned bulimic, and it took awhile for my body to recover. After recovery I hovered around 160 for a few months. During that time I tried to watch what I ate (not calorie counting per say), but my weight didn't change. I then got pregnant and weighed 190 at the end of pregnancy.…

Exactly, I think I lost quite a bit of muscle during my pregnancy (I had to be on modified bed rest due to high blood pressure). Now that I'm seeing you ladies' post I feel better. I'd like to be at 125, but I'm not sure if that would be too low for me (I am medium boned).

Hi and congrats! My baby boy is 7 months old now. I did not breastfeed and the weight still came off fairly easily. I've lost about 50 pounds since I gave birth by eating what I want in moderation and moving more. I walk a lot with my son in his stroller and do chores around the house all day. I don't do any formal…

Wow, thanks everyone for the responses, and I did not mean to cause drama! Haha. I should've been a little more clear. I'm not looking to 'bulk' and I don't have much weight to lose (the 50 lbs I lost was pregnancy weight), I just want the nice butt I used to have! I can't afford a gym, so I can only really do body weight…

Bump?

I've taken Plan B three times (yeah, college was a little crazy), and never had any issues with weight after taking it. I never noticed any negative effects at all. It did mess with my period a little bit, but definitely no weight fluctuations. I know the nurses at Planned Parenthood actually encouraged me to eat a huge…

I take 20 mg of Prozac daily and have had zero problems losing weight. I told my doctor I didn't want to gain weight and that's why she put me on Prozac, it's one of the few SSRIs that doesn't cause major weight gain. If you've gained weight on Prozac it's probably due to eating habits or lack of activity.

I had a Mirena placed in December after my son's birth. I've lost all my baby weight plus some. Mirena's hormones work locally on the uterus, only a minuscule amount are systemic. Any weight gain over 3-5 lbs is most likely not due to the IUD. I love having birth control that I don't have to think about.

I read the Perfect Health Diet when I was deep in my eating disorder, so I have a special hatred for anything that resembles paleo. I would not recommend cutting out entire food groups unless you have a legitimate medical condition, like celiac's. Cutting out foods you love will inevitably lead to binging. The science in…

Maybe I'm doing them wrong, but when I do squats I don't feel them in my butt. I feel them more in the front of my thighs. Should I be feelin them more in my butt?

I lost weight on Accutane as well, about 5- 10 pounds each time I took it. I did two courses during college.

I eat chicken, eggs, beans, and milk and still have trouble meeting the protein requirement. Not a huge fan of fish and Greek yogurt.

My doctor knows about my ED. I just want to be clear, I AM recovered. I don't need help going through recovery or anything, because I'm past that. I just want to lose the extra weight I gained in recovery the healthy way. Thank you for the support.
-
Thanks everyone! Bumping for more responses.

Thanks so much animalldy, your response is very encouraging. I do need to accept that I probably won't ever be completely normal with food, and I know the signs of the ED creeping back and I do NOT want to go down that road again. I make sure to still eat things like chocolate and peanut butter so I don't feel deprived.…

Bulimia definitely did because I lost more and more as it progressed, but I'm sure that pregnancy didn't help at all. I had some vitamin levels checked a few weeks ago at my doctor's and everything came back normal (thyroid was normal as well). I suppose a multivitamin and biotin wouldn't hurt though.
