I don't like stevia it has a strange bitter flavor to it. If you like it then use it.

I have a combination desk job and standing in the lab with repetitive motion job. The key for me is to take breaks with both. If I have to be at my desk all morning I try to get up and wander around every 20 minutes or so. If I am in the lab I will walk around to stretch out my hips and stretch my arms to release the back…

Those 3 lbs are most likely water and will come off in a few days, you didn't eat 3lbs worth of calories in one night out.

With only 10 lbs to lose getting your diet on point is going to be key. It is very easy to overeat your exercise efforts.

I think that you need to find some professional help with this (like a counselor, not a personal trainer). If you have 4 hours a week to exercise you can find an hour a week to talk to someone about your feelings rather than suffering.

Asking people to think about their potential actions is not negative. We are emotional beings who want to believe that there is an easy, better way to do the hard things.

If you are logging accurately you need to be eating more. MFP will set your goal so that you are already at a deficit, the goal is to have 0 calories left at the end of the day from your allotted amount, which is 1,320.

Get up leave the room, do something that you enjoy instead (listen to music, read a book, go for a walk, hobby stuff, hang out with friends).

And you don't think that we have moved beyond that in our understanding of biology and medicine?

Ah, glad to see that you brought it back to the reason that no one thinks the salt water cleanse is good idea ;-)

A salt water flush is at best going to dehydrate you. I wouldn't bother.

Yes, it is fine to enjoy yourself on vacation. You may find that you do gain some water weight if you eat out a lot on vacation. Stop worrying and have fun.

Daily weigh ins were a bit too much for me. I weigh in first thing in the morning every 3-4 days.

I don't look at food as a mistake, occasionally not the bests decision but I try very hard not to feel guilt or shame over food choices. There are much more serious things to save that sort of energy for. Glad that you are getting help.

You get water from food and non-water beverages. If you are going to the bathroom that much and don't like it then drink less water, unless you have other symptoms and then go see a doctor.

Been on the pill for 17 years, the only reason I have gained weight is because I ate too much food.

Going the strong and lean team, was the super skinny kid growing up don't want to go back

There are some really fun podcasts out there to listen to while walking. There are even some about mindfulness and meditation if you wanted to learn about it. I really like listening to things to keep my brain quiet, but there really is something empowering about sitting with your thoughts and learning which ones to pay…

Yep, it is even worse after exercise. I basically drink nothing but hot tea or booze in the winter (not that I am suggesting drinking alcohol to a minor, or anyone else). OP: the only way to determine if it is your diet would be to eat a little more and see if it helps. You are really close to your goal weight, so eating…

Does eating dairy actually bother you? There is some question about the value of IgE testing for food intolerances.

Tacos for dinner tonight! Possibly with lettuce instead of a tortilla (because I think that we are out of tortillas).

I wound't put much faith in a bone density scan done at a gym. Why are you concerned about your bone density? Do you have a family history of issues with it?

For me there are a few things that really help. The first is a having a plan to change the stressful situation. The second is doing things that make me happy, walking listening to podcasts, kickboxing, knitting, coloring, even cooking something good. However, all of these coping strategies requires confronting the…

Have a plan, maybe you save some calories, maybe you only have one drink and then stick to fizzy water with lime. Pre-log your food so you know what it will mean. Having some sort of plan makes it much easier for me to stick to my rules.

A little bit of Kosher salt. A good steak needs no seasoning.

It is woo if they are making claims that lure people into buying a product when they can show no real evidence that their product does what they claim. And by evidence I mean real data, preferably controlled, blinded, and peer reviewed, not just testimonials.

Ahahaha! I am going to have to remember this one.

This is a really interesting project. I could see where it would be educational. I think that even if I tried to game it at the beginning by making better choices the truth would come out eventually.

A few things: 1. You aren't really eating 1200 calories, get a food scale 2. You started exercising and your muscles might be retaining water, be patient 3. You changed your diet significantly (salts, fats, sugars) and are retaining water, be patient Be patient, you didn't gain weight overnight and you aren't going to lose…
