Shakes that promise you fast weight loss are a scam, they only work if you lower your calorie intake, there is nothing in them that will speed up your metabolism magically. They are just taking advantage of your desperation to lose weight quickly and unrealistically fast.
-
No, they tend to be very exaggerated, as are the calorie burns reported on machines.
-
Have a feeling this is going to be needed a lot within the next few days

You lost almost 9 lbs. in three weeks, that is a big change in a short amount of time. Weight loss isn't linear and it takes time and patience.
-
Yes, they are. I think that the current term is multi-level marketing but it is the same thing.

Maybe you typed something wrong but you said that both sites said 1500 calories. There are other calculators out there and they are all going to give you slightly different answers. The amount of calories is going to depend on your current weight (age and height as well) and your goal weight and the time frame that you…

This is going to sounds snarky but it isn't meant to be. What did you eat to get to 300lbs? You can eat the same foods but less. If you don't want to do that (have other nutritional goals) then think about adding in things like full fat dairy, meat, and nuts into your diet. Protein shakes and salads are not super calorie…

To lose weight? No. However, you might not be getting the best nutrition if you totally ignore them. Or you may have to pay attention for others reasons (diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.).

Diet soda counts towards your water intake, even if it is caffeinated. It will not make you retain water. If work is so stressful you might want to look at other things to help you cope.

So much scam

Here is a decent starting point, you can also just youtube for cardio stuff depending on what you like. nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

If you have 3-4 hours during the week of free time you can exercise (and you don't have to go to the gym). Walk around campus, walk up stairs in buildings, do body weight exercises in your room. In college I would make myself a bowl of oatmeal every morning in my room. Complain about the food if it is that bad. Go to the…

Walking and swimming are good. However, weight loss is primarily about what you eat. Exercise is good for a bunch of other things.

Get a second opinion, you are heading in the right direction all on your own. My guess is that the doctor is used to people looking for a quick fix and without your history. If it were me I would want to try to lose the extra weight on my own and manage the sleep apnea without the surgery first.

At some point you have to decide which is more important, your weight loss goals or the snack food instead of a meal. You can eat snack foods, you don't have to cook for yourself, you do have to pay attention to your calories and to your budget if money is an issue. However, if you don't want to eat the purchased foods…

Peanut butter is delicious, I find that I snack in chunky way more so I don't keep it in the house. Just like any other food that you have to learn to manage.

I like my Fitbit for reminding me to keep moving, walking and yoga is great. However, weight loss is going to be about your diet. When you said not eating much that makes me wonder what sort of habits you may or may not have learned when you lost the 60lbs.

@Kettle_Belle14, you are not alone! We were talking about 90s fashions at work the other day. The subject of overalls came up. All of the other girls loved them. I didn't, it is not a flattering look when you hips are wider than your shoulders.

5'10", 156lbs. Tops: I wear anything from a 4-8 Pants: 8-12, with most pants being 10-11. The hip bones are the really deciding factor here, even when I was 135 lbs in college I was still an 8.

I am planning on eating a little of everything. I am going to be at my parent's house so breakfast and lunch will probably be pretty light. I might think twice about having seconds though. If I do eat more than I plan then I will just move on.

Does he have any hobbies? I would think that a nice thank you note and maybe a gift card would be suitable if you are at a loss for ideas.

Here is an excellent article that discusses free radical damage and antioxidants (see point 2). nature.com/news/the-science-myths-that-will-not-die-1.19022?WT.mc_id=FBK_NA_1512_NEWSFSCIMYTHS_PORTFOLIO

Cheese, ideally with a hot baguette (the crusty bread is the part that I miss the most being GF for 4 year now).

If you have planned your energy drink into your daily calories then you will still lose weight. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction focusing on food and drinking less of your calories.

It is unseasonably warm in OH right now. In winter I row indoors, do kickboxing classes and yoga. I also still get outside for walking or jogging. You need to layer up and get your lungs used to the cold air gradually but it is possible.
-
I think that both cutting food or upping cardio are going to impact your lifting progress. You could try a smaller deficit.
-
Even more reason not to panic, if you shouldn't fret over 2 lbs if you are sticking to the plan then you shouldn't even bat an eyelash at 0.2 lbs.

My guess is that since you lost weigh your skin has kind of deflated, so your skin folds differently.
