I haven't consumed alcohol in many years, mostly because I thrive on social awkwardness.

Cool. Doesn't sound like you are doing anything too crazy. "Juicing" can mean a variety of things to people here, and many of us are sensitive to people preaching unhealthy, quick-weight-loss diets. If you are getting your calories and macro nutrients, then your plan sounds fine to me. But why not just eat the fruit and…

I agree with what you said and your square black head, rainbowbow. You're not really surprised someone posted a seemingly neutral question (just looking for information) on MFP, and then turned out to have an agenda/intention already planned and was simply looking for justification, are you? OP - your profile mentions BMR,…

Well-stated. You've answered your problem better than any one of us here could have. I'm glad you posted this. I am convinced that 90% of the time, we already have the solution inside us. It just takes some of us time/experience/guidance/smacks on the head/etc. to get there. A wonderful saying I heard years ago about this…

What are you really asking here? There are plenty of "I'm bothered by my friend/co-worker/relative/partner/spouse's eating habits" threads. It's natural for me to start focusing on something in my life, then notice it more in others. Whether that's eating better, exercising, being less selfish, whatever. It's in my head…

Why aren't we friends? Also, do you have some duck tape, bleach and some plastic sheeting I can borrow?
-
Actually, you said: Which isn't the same. That could be interpreted a number of ways (someone brand new, first post, etc.) I'm saying this is actually NOT someone here since June, but someone who created an account solely for the purpose of posting this thread. Which, IMO, means 0 credibility and no measurable humor score.…

Hmmm... Get a life? Maybe post from your real account?

There is a Dairy Queen Blizzard flavor that you may not know about. Yet. It is so good it can cause you to elbow small children out of the way to get to the counter. It is called Caramel Pie and it tastes like magic. It isn't available everywhere, but you can have them make it, because it uses ingredients they already…

Playboy does have good articles. I buy Crewd, Rewd and Lewd Ladies for the pics. And crossword puzzles.

You wrote "WARNING PICTURES!" in your thread title, so I thought you meant there was a bad haircut and you were posting pictures of warnings for bad haircuts, like warning signs. So I clicked on the thread. Because I'm always up for a good sign viewing. I had no idea what I was about to be subjected to. For nearly 30…

What about grunting effort? Surely I've burned a few calories there. Maybe it's muscle gain?
-
True. This thread gave me one heebie and at least two jeebies.
-
Exactly. Consider it a gift. Sure, the gift was wrapped in outdated insensitive Christmas wrapping with a Summer's Eve bow. But still a gift.

It's too much effort to edit myself too much in different contexts, and I'm naturally lazy. But I don't think we're the same online and in real life. My mouth moves less when interacting on the Internets. And I don't type when I'm speaking to my friends. Except at our keyboard raves.

Well said, Jet. Being succinct isn't my strong suit either. Sometimes capturing detail, layered meaning and nuance requires more than bullet points or 140-character pontificating. Sometimes all the words just come tumbling out. Still, I will never understand the need to post that something is too long for me to read. If…

There are examples within this thread of people honestly and respectfully disagreeing with each other, without devolving into emotionally-charged mishmash. The examples aren't easy to find amidst the other noise, but they are there. Which means there is still hope for the Internets.

I am grateful to the so-called cool kids. They keep me motivated, inspired, and laughing (sometimes at myself). Even when I'm late to the party. It's the other kids I'm worried about. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks. Those Reeboks are way out of style, man.

What kind of man lets alligators fight his battles? Man up and eat the 20 year old yourself.

Are you really trying to help someone or trying to convince your audience (us) to feel disgusted in the same way you do? You seem pretty invested in not being judged as "mean" so I'm curious why you felt the need to list what your co-worker eats. This is MFP. We know what unhealthy eating choices look like. I think you…

I am outraged that Facebook is allowing accounts for unborn fetuses.

Spot on, Kort. Also, boobs. I think these threads are often little more than justification flypaper. You know: If I am making decision A based on reasons X, Y, and Z, then any other decision besides A will get called into question. Am I right? I'll post and see who agrees with my own personal decision that works for me in…

I drink it regularly.

There are plenty of deep, personal, interesting reasons this occurs (body image stuff, psychology, self-esteem, hormones/chemicals, etc.) that I'm barely qualified to guess at, so I'll start with something simple. Ever find someone attractive one day, then not attractive the next? What happens? What about a car you fell in…

Wait a minute... you're not accusing us of judging the intelligence, motives and moral character of someone we don't know based on one reported incident, are you? :noway:
-
I am at odds with the above. It's like a really great sandwich on the worst kind of bread. I very much agree with the middle part, completely disagree with the top and bottom slices. People do have the right to judge. And they will (just watch this thread at the judgment toward the cashier in this story). But we have the…

Sometimes being a douche is necessary. And if I enjoy those times just a little bit, does that mean I have to revoke my membership card? Or just use it to irrigate?
-
How about "Wadded up Kleenex on Carrot Shavings and ....... douche"
-
Yeah, judge sent me too. Who will sign my sheet when the meeting's over?
-
Yeah, that's how I interpreted it. Think someone's a douche? Invite them to a group called 'Don't be a Douche." But when I saw the group's image, I knew I was home.
