I haven't eaten in McDonalds in probably close 10 years? I HATE it!!! When I did eat there, it was disgusting and I haven't been there since!! If you are on MFP trying to lose weight, I'm not sure why you'd even want to go there? They use low grade products they call meat. I'd take a nice healthy homemade burger over a…

At the beginning of the year my first goal was to lose 55 lbs, to get back down to my pre-preg weight. My second goal is to lose another 30 lbs. I'm 31, close to 32, 5' 4", Im currently 243. My second goal weight is 170. Once I get there, I'd probably like to lose another 20-30. Even though 170 is still considered too much…

If you have to have beef use the lean stuff and maybe mix in a some ground turkey to. Homemade turkey burgers can be really really good to!! If you use lean beef add something to put a little moisture in like Worcestershire sauce, squirt of ketchup, steak sauce, mustard, a combination of those. Also grated onion is nice,…

I have a mini trampoline, I got it at Walmart I think, for like 20-25? I can't remember how much it was exactly. I use to to jog, its much easier than running on hard sidewalk/road. I've had heel issues in the past and the trampoline allowed me to still jog w/out so much pain. It's great! You can really work up a sweat and…

Tommy Chong and his wife Steve-o (from *kitten*... he's sooooooo nice!!) and a few professional football players and a coach when they played with the Carolina Panthers. (Will Witherspoon, Mike Rucker, Jeff Mitchell, John Fox... all have moved on) I almost met Julius Peppers but I was too star struck to talk to him :p

Walk in place... while watching tv! You can even step it up a little and jog. I have a mini trampoline, I got it at Walmart I think, it was pretty cheap. I use it to jog, it's much easier on me to jog on it then on hard concrete. I have a heel issue sometimes. I can really get going on that, work up a good sweat! All in…

I'm going to make a healthy fruit dip with fat free vanilla yogurt and a little bit of nutella! I looove nutella and this way, you get just a little bit with some healthy yogurt and fresh fruit to dip in. You could also add fat free, or light cream cheese. Maybe a little honey. Omit the nutella and use something else like…

Family and friends can sometimes be discouraging. Keep your head up, keep up the great work, and ignore the negative comments! Once he notices a difference in the way you look and feel, maybe it will inspire your dad to make some changes himself. Lots of people don't realize a serving size is a lot smaller than they are…

I'm not vegan but I am pescetarian. I only eat seafood. I do eat a lot of vegetarian meals though. I've recently started being a lil iron deficient but trying to eat more things with iron and I'm taking a vitamin now. Be careful with your iron intake! And welcome to MFP!!!! It's a wonderful tool :D

I love Kale! My favorite kale recipe would have to be Kale Chips! Mmmmmmm so delicious and so easy! Take a bunch of kale and tear off the major veins, any that are a lot thicker than the actual kale. Tear into bite size pieces. Toss the pieces with a couple teaspoons of olive oil, a splash of vinegar and some salt. Bake at…

I can't recommend shoes but I do highly recommend a heel hugger with magnets. ( Like this: http://www.painreliever.com/brownsmedical_heelhuggermag_11.html ) I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for a few years. My doctor gave me the gel heel inserts, heel/foot stretches/exercises and a few cortisone shots. The shots…

Food is fuel for your body so it's important to keep it going all day. Eating 1 meal a day will lower your metabolism. To raise your metabolism you need to eat small meals all day. I saw this show on this lady that was very very obese and bed ridden. She would only eat one meal a day to compensate for the fact that that…

Which type of low carb are you doing? How many carbs are you eating a day? I'm currently doing Adkins. It's working pretty well. I try to keep my carbs under 20 every day. Sometimes I go over a little but I keep it under 25. With Adkins it's very important to eat every 3-4 hours. I always have LC snacks during the day. The…
