Thank you for your feedback, it helps a lot with putting things into perspective. I am very proud of myself with my current progression in the gym, I just need to be more patient and accepting with myself with the extra weight. I have so long looked at weight gain a negative, and although I have been trying to think…

Hey mandilamadrid, I used to do HIIT and lifting on the same days, but ended up not getting enough out of my workouts because I was so exhausted from HIIT. If you wanna keep your heart rate up during strength training, then you are looking at something closer to circuit training. This is where you do things like squat…

I drink around a gallon of water a day, so I think you are right that I could be weighing the water as well.
-
I agree, I want to stay muscular and toned. That is the goal, so I will have to keep up my strength training.

Would you recommend that I take out my HIIT on my strength training days and do HIIT instead of low intensity? I have been doing consistent strength training the past 2-3 months, but I just increased from body weight/light weights to heavier weights in the past month, would that have an effect? My calorie deficient set by…

Thanks. Maybe it is hard to see my own progress.

I am. I have a good scale to make sure everything is where it should be.

Not eating enough can stop weight loss in its tracks! Your body is holding onto fat because it is in survival mode because you are not eating enough. StealthHealth has some great tips there! Don't give up, eat more and eat well!

Understand that one bad day does not equal a bad week! Or a bad month! Or a bad anything! Everyone gives in at one point or another, and sometimes you need that little break to be able to come back more motivated. Most important thing to do is not beat yourself up! When you do that it makes you dislike becoming healthy.…

I love/hate doing my workout in the morning. You have to wake up early, but it is such a great start to my day, that I don't feel like myself without doing it. We can do it guys! Shannon, 7kgs, 8am.

I would like to keep my goal at carbs 50%, protein 30%, and fat 20%. But usually on the daily I am at 30-40% fat, 20% protein and 40% carbs. SW 175 CW 155 GW 140

I am working on taking in less fat and more protein, along with trying to have more self-confidence, which had been a continual struggle for me.

I am 5'10 and at 155, I am hoping to be down at 140.

Thank you arditarose, I'll make sure and keep that in mind. :) Livingleanlivingclean I should rephrase that to the woman I am friends with back home are very lean and toned, haha, but you are right, I am trying to remain positive and proud of how far I have come, sometimes it is just hard. :)

You can add me too! I have about 10 to lose and lots of toning as well!

That is a good idea, I will have to invest in a food scale. I was eating less than recommended because it is very difficult for me to be eating all the food that is recommended. When you are in the water from 2.5-4 hours a day, plus weights, it is difficult to make up all those calories, especially when you are burning an…

I am not using a food scale because the foods I usually eat, even when they are fruits, I measure by cups or per fruit.

Sam: Yeah I have an amazing athletic trainer who knows exactly what I need for swimming dryland workouts. I am very thankful. He had me doing starts with chains and weights attached to me today, it really helped. He is crazy wise about working out swimmers. JM: I'm a sprinter/breast/IMer (I'm a wild card, coach throws me…

Awesome that helps a lot. I do Battle Ropes with my personal trainer about four times a month, and I do the plyometric jumping for a good amount of time once a week. That is awesome advice, I will put everything that you said in mind and implement it into my workout. I appreciate you taking the time to advise me.

Thanks! I usually do my HIIT workouts on a rowing machine, but thank you, that does help a lot!

Bringing Sass back, I love it :D

Hey guys! I'm Shannon, a college athlete and turning 19 in September. I have about 15 more pounds to go, though I focus more on getting toned than a goal weight. I love to encourage people, so feel free to add me for encouragement! (:

I'm a tall girl, almost 5'10 and my boyfriend is about 5'11 and I would love him even if he were my height. Being tall is attractive, but I would much rather be with a guy with substance.

I grew up in Vegas, so all the time. Have you ever eaten anything still alive? (Like a bug, fish, etc?)
