I think you are going to need two in that case. :(

700 is pretty impressive for an hour, most I've had is 865 in an hour and I suspect I weight a lot more than you do (bigger you are the more you burn for the same exercise assuming same workload). Do you keep track of what heart rate zones you are working out in? If you really want to burn a lot of calories you'll need to…

Why do you need it to work with both? I've the Polar Bluetooth strap hooked up to my Galaxy S2 and it does everything I want, GPS tracking, mapping & route planning, speed (current, average and max), all the usual heart rate stuff and it'll even shout at me if I'm not pushing hard enough. Much cheaper route that buying a…

Mine is set to 1410 and I recalculate it everytime I lose more than a couple of lbs so its always moving down. That is meant to give me a 2lb a week weight loss but I haven't been hitting that last two weeks. :( With exercise it can climb to 3000 on my harder days but I struggle to eat that much healthy food, if I allowed…

Currently doing a P90x/Insanity/one on one doubles hybrid, two weeks left!

Multiple books on the go? That's something I'm guilty of as well, I've a couple of real books in my bedside draw that fall into that category, it'll be months before I finish them at this rate. I love hard back books, the feel, the smell and the slip covers, but it gets expensive buying them when I can go through 3 or 4…

Insanity requires a higher starting level of fitness than P90x so if you are out of shape P90x is the better one to start with. I'm doing a hybrid doubles schedule of Insanity and P90x, I get the better cardio of Insanity and the weights workouts of P90x. I'm on week 6, so deep into Max territory. If you can get both a…

I'm about half way through A Dance With Dragons by Geroge R.R. Martin. I read, for the first time, the first four books in the series back to back and only just finished the fourth book before I downloaded the new one. Great series, it's scope and breadth of characters is just massive. I've the first four Dexter books…

Do you have a smartphone? Polar do a bluetooth chest strap that you can pair with a smartphone, combine that with Runkeeper or Sport Tracker and you've a GPS HRM with full mapping, history and programme management. You'd have to pay a lot to get a wrist based HRM that can match it.

I had that problem yesterday, I added in another meal after my workout but it still wasn't enough. I guess those are the days you shouldn't feel bad for having a little treat!

I do the same as Mark996, 1/3rd of my recovery drink that is full of BCAAs and other goodness before the workout, rest during the workout and then about 30 minutes after the workout I eat a banana and drink a protein shake. A few simple carbs is meant to help the absorption of the protein. Pre workout feeding is important…

Agree with this completely. I push hard, I workout ten times a week burning over 7000 calories on a full on week of workouts so I'm more than ready for my one day off a week. Pushing hard week after week even with a day off doesn't always give your body enough time to recuperate if you are working hard. I have a recovery…

You'll be super fit once you've done Asylum! Best of luck for the wedding.

I love so many TV Shows: Breaking Bad, True Blood, Chicago Code, Sons of Anarchy, Mildred Pierce, Curb, Always Sunny, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Hawaii 50, Boardwalk Empire, Ideal, Luther, Dexter.

42lbs is an amazing achievement as is finishing the 90 for P90x. What's next now?

SV: Under 100kg first time in years NSV: Completed my first round of P90x Rather pleased with both!

Max heart rate is dependant on how old you are (220 - age), if you are 20 or less you could reach 196 bpm, I wouldn't recommend it but you could. Recovery time is a good measure of how fit you are, the fitter you are the quicker you recover from an anaerobic state. Heart rate monitor is how I keep track of how fit I am…

Wednesday is my rest day as it's my longest day of meetings so I'm usually stuck there till late. I don't do any exercise on my rest day. Tuesday and Thursday I do just one single workout, but they are my hardest workouts or the ones I want to work hardest at least. Rest of the week I workout in the morning and again in…

I have a cheat meal once a month, and on special occasions like today when I hit a milestone (90 days of P90x today!) I have a cheat day. However while I'll eat rubbish today I won't go over on my calorie target even if it means lots of extra exercise to afford all that junk food. If you are too strict with yourself you'll…

Exercise calories should be on top of your normal calorie allowance and I'd recommend eating them back especially if you are cutting more than a pound a week. Unless you are super fit or not trying hard enough then you'll be burning a ton of calories doing Insanity.
-
I love P90x but the cardio just isn't enough once you can do insanity. I use the cardio from the One on Ones and P90x + as the doubles for my schedule. Some of the balance work from the One on Ones is really good. All the weights sessions all have alternative that you can do if you aren't that strong, even the pull ups.…
-
If you love Cardio then Insanity is the one for you. I'm doing a hybrid of Insanity and P90x as the Cardio from P90x doesn't push me enough. I'm also working my way through the One on Ones, substituting the P90x workouts where I can.

Day 88 of a One on One/P90x/Insanity Hybrid, got another 30 days planned of it past the 90 day mark, feel free to add me as well.

How fit are you? Insanity needs a good level of fitness right from the start and you have to be committed to complete it as it will test you. Knee, back and ankle problems are common if you are a lot over weight (like I am), have previous injuries/problems in that area, or have poor form. Positioning on knees and feet is…

Great choice picking up Insanity, it'll push you but it's a lot of fun and you'll hopefully notice a big improvement in your fitness levels when you have completed the 60 days. Do you have the schedule as answers to questions 2 & 3 are covered there. If you've lost it, you can get another one here:…

Iphone our android phone with a bluetooth heart rate strap will do both and more. have a look at run keeper or sport tracker.

Never bothered with cardio abs, always done insane abs. As I'm doing a P90X hybrid I do killer abs and ab ripper x as well as insane abs, a different one after each weights work out, so three days a week. I'm not convinced insane abs is that good for your abs it seems more for your core.
