Hello, I have had great luck with using http://www.walmart.com/ip/Josephs-Flax-Oat-Bran-Whole-Wheat-Flour-Pita-Bread-8-Oz/10323275. They do not spike my BG levels, but they do contain corn and corn syrup ingredients which may not be for everyone. They also come in Mini size. Great for fiber, low carb and no BG spike.

Hello, Just following up to see, if you had a chance to test your glucose after eating that breakfast recipe and how the results were? Thanks again.

Hello, Just checking on their sites, the difference in calories may be because I couldn't add the cream with the coffee on MCD's site. But if you look at the MCD's iced coffee which is coffee + milk + sugar, you can approximate that timmy's and mcd's would be the same. I don't think you can have that much difference. Hope…

Hello, Thank you for posting the recipe. Can you please update as to how it affected your glucose level? I love oatmeal for breakfast, and I am currently using http://www.netrition.com/sensato_high_fiber_hot_cereal.html But I would love to make my own instead. Thanks again, and I look forward to reading your response.

I agree with most of the posts here. I think you are on a low/high blood glucose level roller coaster. I have been through them, because I am a diabetic, and did not know how to manage it. I know you said you are diagnosed as insulin resistant, and MOST PROBABLY you were diagnosed as such because your morning/fasting blood…

Hello, The truth of the matter really is that in this world you will have people on both sides, as in if you CHOOSE to do it or live with it you will be get different opinions on what you should have done. Hello, I also enjoy eating spinach a lot. I usually like to mix mine with raw kale and arugula. Also, I try making it Indian style (SAAG). You can try the following recipe, and modify it to lower fat or increase protein levels http://www.paleoflip.com/paleo-indian-chicken-saag/

I am Indian as well. I agree its hard to eat healthy, when it comes down to our delicious snacks with high carb content and sugar. But I have to tell you, I love the fact that the Indian recipe's for all the chicken and goat curries along with okra, cauliflower and other non starchy vegetable recipes are the best. I mean I…

Hello, Just to give you an idea of why some may recommend that you eat the calories you burn. Usually, if you believe that a calorie deficit is what is helping you lose weight, then basically you have to find a happy medium where you are eating enough so that you have energy and losing weight gradually. And it is helping…

I think for most people that need to lose a significant amount of weight (including me), the body goes shape, skin etc goes through a lot of changes and strange and weird transformation. From the pictures you posted, you can see the difference in the way it looks, but as said by posters above me, please continue on and you…

Tracking and logging food has helped me realize that I can eat carbs more than I every thought I could because I can eat different vegetables, fruits etc and don't have to focus on grain/rice/pasta. It is the greatest of freedom, being a diabetic realizing the options to eat better, without extreme measures.
