 Does he know you post about him? Anyhow, his weight loss sounds good, as others already posted.

:noway: I never had any terrible experience like some of you. I got "the looks", yes, that's why I never joined a Gym or went swimming for a very long time. My turning point somehow several month before I really started with weight loss was a trip to Northern Ireland. We were walking around places, the weather was…

I think, a little more information is needed here. Does the failure is more physical or psychological? What do you eat, do you do some exercise? Do you have a goal? Many questions. Any advise is a shoot into the blue

I drink it, because I am lactose intolerant and is in my view the only option for tea and coffee. For my protein shake and baking I use hazelnut milk or almond milk. If nothing else is there, i use rice- or coconut milk, but not really to my taste, although rice milk from RiceDream is the best in case you want something…

Plus there are ads on MFP "1200 cal days recipe" .... Not helpful.

All the best for your surgery :flowerforyou:

HRM is a heart rate monitor. I use it only for workouts to see how much I really burn. You enter your height, weight, age into the watch and put a strap round your chest, which counts the heart rate. From these all data, the watch calculates the calories burned for the exercise. Unfortunately MFP oder other pages all…

My deepest respects! :flowerforyou:

Before some *kitten* broke into my car and stole it, I too had a Galaxy S4. I used the shealth and it was ok before I joined MFP. I currently use MFP for food and workout logging. My HRM to get accurate calorie burned measures to log into MFP. And I use MapMyRun to find out how far I hiked/walked on a new route. Thats it.

I had a gastric band surgery 10 years ago. If you want to ask any questions send me a PN. There is also a comment from me about this in another thread.
-
Great! Any pics for inspiring? I'm in the same range. (Weight and age wise) but not as fast. :-)
-
Same level? So you gained everything back? Sounds like it did not work, or?
-
Get an HRM. The numbers on MFP are simply to good to be true. 30 min of swimming on MFP is 594 cals. My HRM told me 175 cals - and I was swimming for 30 min. Breast and back. Just to show you the difference.

1200 to 1400 sound not much, but you hopefully did the math. And about the gaining from protein I suggest you look for another grapevine  Muscles need protein for their growth. So technically you could possibly maybe eventually under some circumstances "gain" weight when your muscles are growing. But this also…

What is it with this constant 1200 cals yes or no? Why do people want to do it? :noway:
-
Which is a lot  Well, my additional squat weight in the moment is 20 lbs, so I might shut up now :smokin:
-
I think you are doing too much. You don't give your body any rest. You should give your muscles at least one full day rest between workouts. Food wise: Generally, on days I lift I eat more carbs and on the non lifting days more proteins. Works for me in the moment quite well, I'd say. About the squats : no wonder, they…

Yes. 3 x 30 in writing.

Stronglift is a bit much for starters. Ice cream 5x5 is more like it. Loads of compound lifts and the risk for injuries is very low.
-
I have no idea as I am not using any treadmills. Get an HRM and try it out. (Would be the best and most accurate option anyway)

Music is a must! Mainly Hard Rock and Punk.
-
Wow. I even think it looks more than 68 lbs. Very impressive!
-
I have a Polar FT 7 Brilliant tool. Gives you all you need right away. You can even check during the exersice your burned calories. And available in many nice colours.

I got rid of a mid-sized microwave. I say "rid of" instead of loss, as I have no intention to find it again

I had a gastric band surgery many years ago. Well, it did not help. It started off great in the beginning. Just as I was promissed. I ate very little, but felt completly full and happy. 15 kg melted away like nothing. Then something happened. Whatever it was, instead of losing weight i was only vomitting. Everybody is…

This sounds pretty awful to think about this each and every time even on a fun night out. :frown:

When I feel hungry I eat. Why do I have to feel constantly hungry? If this is so, than there is something going wrong. What you write about is graving for certain foods. Well, i stopped eating cookies and chocolate several month ago due to lactose intolerance, so it was rather easy. When I can't stand the graving for…

Look, if you prefer certain restaurants, you just have to live with the fact, that you don't know, what you put into your mouth. If i go to my two, three restaurants and I order (for example) cod with veg and boiled potatoes I KNOW that I get exactly this. The math I can do myself. Or go and order only stuff you see…
-
Which will ends up in more and more restaurants will not cook fresh anymore but use ready prepared and labeled ingredients. Absolutely a big NO here. Find restaurants you trust to cook fresh and ask the cook what is in the meal. If he can't answer immediately, don't go there anymore. Don't really get the problem

Then I suggest instead of losing weight via calorie restriction, buy some dumbells and start lifting. You might not lose an ounce, but your mirror will tell you quite a story
