Sorry not mean to hijack the thread but it's so funny to read your reply while looking at your avatar picture...

I know people like that, some are like other have said: eat a lot and move even more; others, simply have some sort of healthy problem. I don't want to sound like green eyed jealous b****, but it's true in their case. My husband, thin and tall in his whole life, can eat a large pizza at one sitting but then I also notice…

I think the question is why 1200, not 1190 or 1230?
-
try a month...or longer...4 days...I agree it isn't hard especially when you are on your willpower...

Comparing yourself to others without really know what others have done and where they come from is to set yourself for failure and feel depressed, nothing more than that... Ya know..when people tell stories on the internet, it's often and common that we only hear part of it...I We all have different genes, different body…

This^^ Number is useless...If I had a 2000 RMR but can't find a way to lose weight, what's it needed for, right? :)
-
can you request a re-test if it bothers you and blow off your self esteem? even with slower metabolism, double the number would be normal...

Rumor has it that Kellogg's is the one who started the breakfast campgaign....it all makes sense suddenly...
-
I am the "average Joe" that Martin Berkhan mentioned in his article: feeling more hungry after breakfast.
-
Give it a shot if you can manage, why not?

I only had it for a week while I was so excited about it but I had to return it because I had skin reaction to the metal detector...:( as little as I see, it's pretty close to the calcuated TDEE that all the sties have given me.

LOL....my husband never eats other's homemade food...we rarely go to restaurants either...he gets sick all the time. just saying..
-
I got a habit now that I always walk to our kitchen area with a bottle or mug to get some water/tea/coffee. This helps me big time.

We have free food at work, too, but maybe not as often as where you are at. It takes time and practice...You mentioned "when your blood sugar is low", I totally hear you. The key thing is stay full like eat your breakfast (if you are breakfast person) and your lunch seriously. Drinking hot tea and coffee help me resist the…

I thought it was a type of plant...you know those in latin...

I don't know if there's any science behind it but my observation is lifting heavy could "interfere" with scale number.
-
I was scratching my head when reading her post...
-
this...I would rather lose inches which makes me look thinner than a lighter weight on the scale without changing appearance.
-
I read a post the other day and I think it was true to some extent. He said often people are afraid of going over so they prefer staying under...not willing to eat doesn't mean they are not hungry or not capable to eat to that amount. Dieters often succeeded for the first a couple of months because they rely on this…

“You don't crave what you haven't developed a taste for". This is so true...My sister and I grew up together until our late 20s. She's never craved brownie or pizza...Her craving is no more than a piece of fruit or something equally delicious to her taste. For me craving means cakes, brownies, and chips...

Until I have learned to say "No" to food, any kind of food, my problem will persist..

I have been on and off for a year...while it didn't make my scale move big time I look lot leaner and fat layer definitely thinner
-
LOL, the problem I see here is after eating brocolli, I just want to eat cake, but not the other way around
-
You can't just believe whatever people claim...especially when it comes to weight loss/fitness. When people (that is myself included) tell story, there's often some fiction in it, not on purpose, but...not all the details included. I have friends who went on a "clean diet" for two months and dropped a few pounds, now all…

I could have written this post...
-
That's why I used double quote, bro/sis~
-
Ya know I don't disagree...I guess we all take one side of the same story and run it. :)

I eat pretty clean simply because I don't know how to cook. I barely know how to use my oven and microwave. :) I dont like hambergs and soda because I didn't grow up eating that stuff. My "dirty food" will be a trip to the nearest asian store and get a bag of dumplings. :)

I have a friend who swears by eating clean making her lose weight...The fact is every time she goes on diet, she cuts out pizza, brownie, and other "junk food" she called. But I am tired of explaining to her why she loses weight because she insists that it's eating clean the key to weight loss while carbs make her gain…

I am more curious about those who " eat 1000 calories and full" while having 100 pounds to lose...I am a slight case of food addiction so I know why I can't lose weight...
