This is almost exactly me too. I am actually a wee bit taller (a little over 5'2"). Started at over 224 and looking toward 140 as a goal. I was 148 at my 2002 wedding and felt really good. I am athletically built and anything less than 125 would make me look positively sickly. I'm not a small person despite my height. :)…

We got our last week, but it was missing a part, so we had to wait until yesterday to use it (it was 71 days from order date to ship date, btw). Tried it for the first time last night for 10 minutes and it kicked my butt!! I am out of shape and used to walking as my cardio, so I need to build up more. So far, I love it!!

It would definitely be tough, but rather than focus on the number of pounds, why don't you focus on the problem areas you feel would be "exposed" for your tank top? Do you have kettle bells or weights? You can find some exercises to tone your arms and midsection. Good luck!!

I am in mainly for suggestions... I have the same problem - but mine is more because of time. I work full time and my husband feeds himself and the kids before I get home most nights. I am obsessive about the prep of my meals (weighing, scanning, etc) so I don't usually eat his leftovers :) I do find that I use the…

LOL! Thanks for the research, Tina! :) :flowerforyou:

Awesome. Gonna try to do it myself. The worst that can happen is I destroy it and have to get a new one anyway! Thanks!!

This is great! Thanks! And thanks to everyone else. I really do appreciate it.
-
Thank you so much! I will look into all of these. :)

*pat on the back* Great job!!! :flowerforyou:

Yep. Love Wednesday weigh in for this reason. I "unofficially" weigh daily (just about), but log it in on Wednesday.

Of course YOU are the priority!! You are of no good to anyone else (your child or a man) if you are not taking care of yourself! I can completely relate to depression issues. I have mild depression/anxiety and have for years. Get the help you need. Find the right means to treat it - whether it be medically or holistically…

Not expecting... but I am a mom of 2. Wanted to wish you well and good health! Make sure you get lots of information from your doctor and trusted websites. Don't make any big changes in your diet until you know what you... and your baby... need.

Feel free to add me! I log on daily... active on most days. I have also been part of MFP for a long time, but just re-started my profile to get rid of the old, outdated stuff!! Best of luck to you... you can do this!!

Smaller body, bigger smile. :) Great job!!!! You look awesome!
-
Wow! What a transformation! Such great motivation... Keep it up!!
-
I log on daily... feel free to add me!

Just sent you a request... I am the same age... and I know it's a lot harder now than it was 10 years ago, but we can do this!!!

I agree with the "cheat meal" theory. However, I don't really consider it a cheat since I will log it anyway. It's more of a license to go over once in a while. :)

Totally depends on the day. I try and leave myself about 500 calories for dinner, but sometimes a big lunch or breakfast causes me to readjust. I am more strict about the times that I eat rather than the breakdown of calories or nutrients.

Thanks for the replies, ladies!! It's nice to know I'm not alone. :)

Add me if you like! 5'2" mother of 2 about 75 lbs to lose :drinker:
-
Just joined the group!

I weigh myself just about daily... it depends. But I only log it in on Wednesday. I think that daily weigh ins give me an idea of how different factors affect me and how quickly... TOM, salty meal, alcohol. I like Wednesday because if I indulge a bit over the weekend (not too nutty), it gives me a couple of days…

I am going to go against the grain here and simply say, "I know what you mean"! I do make much more homemade than ready-made... but there is a certain comfort level in being able to scan a bar code!! As others have said, it's not an exact science, but I know what you mean. Don't fear the recipe builder. It will make you…

I really appreciate the responses. So much valuable info!! I should add that in whatever activity I am doing for exercise, I am faithfully using my Polar HRM (with chest strap!). Love that thing.

I am not new to MFP, but I am back after a "hiatus" let's say.... Fear of failure will eat you up (no pun intended). Squash that fear and use it to your advantage. Best of luck. There's some great advice here... use it!

Water does fill me up... but I can't drink it ice cold. I like it room temperature. Not sure if that makes a difference! If not water, what about seltzer? Sometimes the bubbles help! If you are hungry you need to eat.... water will fill you more if you aren't *actually* hungry.

I agree!! Another great Pinterest motivator for me if finding clothing that I *wish* I could wear... GOALS!!
-
It better be possible! That's my goal! :) I think that if we work at all that we do here (eating right, getting regular exercise), you'll be amazed at what your body can become. I have always had an "athletic build" - I've never had skinny legs or lean hips... so I'd be happy to be back in a (US) size 8 someday. BUT, I am…

I hear ya!!! I am NOT going to buy anything in the next size, so it's lose weight or wear trash bags for me! :noway:
