This. It bugs the crap out of me when someone announces that they are doing a gluten free diet and they don't have a sensitivity to it. Why do it than?

I weigh it raw. It gains volume when you cook it, and unless you are cooking it in calorie heavy broth, water won't add calories. Like someone said, even weighing it raw, its still a disappointing amount. I always double my serving and make room in my calories for it.

I am 5'3" and have a lightly active job and am set to lose 1lb a week and have 1600 calories. How much are you trying to lose each week? There is a product called Soft paws that covers the cats nails and keeps them from destroying your furniture. Its better than declawing a cat. Of course I never heard of them until after all our furniture was destroyed.

Squirrels would probably avoid that chemical fake stuff. I used that stuff on my last attempt to lose weight, until someone told me about how many calories are actually in it. Now I just stick to real butter since its easier to track and weigh.

Did you ask him to explain what he meant by that? Can you call him and make sure he didn't mean that was all you are supposed to eat? I would hope he was just giving an example of snack ideas, in addition to actual food.

Something as simple as a walk IS a workout, no matter what anyone else says. Especially if you are just starting out.

Weigh everything before its cooked, because meats lose volume and pasta gains volume. This way you won't underestimate how much you are eating.
