Me, too insulin resistant PCOS...You can't kill Martha unfortunately, but she can be lived with and you can lose weight...I'm down 65 pounds from starting weight a little over a year ago and now in a healthy weight range. You're off to a good start, so keep it consistent and good luck.

Cadbury Creme Eggs...and I've recently discovered Cadbury Creme Egg Biscuits....Thank goodness they're seasonal

Sorry, my bad math....I thought she was 128

You are currently a healthy weight. 28 more pounds will make you underweight. Consider maintenance or losing far less if you have a few vanity pounds. If you aren't happy with your composition, look into strength training to correct that instead of weightloss. There are plenty of healthy plain foods. As long as you meet…

Your goals should be set to what you can achieve and what you need to achieve based on your calorie goals, stats, etc With a knee issues, do what you can do and keep doing it. Anything to start is better than nothing and is an improvement. Compete with yourself to increase your goals and progress.

Sounds like a jerk to me....nothing wrong with someone to give us a dose of reality or advice, but sounds like he was just being an *kitten* and not in the spirit of helpfulness

I get terrible hangry if I go too long without eating...sometimes if we get busy and don't get a lunch in, I'm downright dangerous. My husband can spot the warning signs and will gently ask if I want to stop and get a bite. If I don't pick up in his cues, he'll back away and throw snickers at me. The worst example was on…

It was probably about 20lbs before I noticed a real difference in the mirror. I had 65-70 total to lose and have 65 of those off now. tbh, though, even though I went from a size 16-18 to a size 4 with those 65 lb, some days I really don't feel "thinner". Logically I know I am and I certainly feel healthier, but our minds…

I'd say something is off in your logging. Looks like you're logging pretty low calorie intakes that should result in a loss. Pretty tough to eat less than 1200 consistently and not lose. Seems like a lot of logging by cup or serving vs weight which can be inaccurate unless you're using your own recipes through the recipe…

Try it for a few weeks and see what happens. Looks like you have set a goal of 10 lbs to lose, so you shouldn't be aiming for more than half a pound per week.

Grab an egg or some ham or some turkey or something with a piece of whole grain toast or bread. It'll likely take you farther than some biscuits. If something sugary makes you feel better then get your blood sugar looked at. Could just be a carb crash, but could also be blood sugar concerns going on there.

My guess would be the cereal bars aren't doing it for you. Try something different for breakfast for a few days and see if that helps. I personally need some protein along with my complex carbs...egg or peanut butter or something. I don't have a lot of time in the morning, so PB is often my go to, but if I have time in the…

It's a bit of a crapshoot guess if you don't know how it's cooked.....I'd probably try to guess roughly how much of each veggie in a serving and get that count (or just guesstimate 50-100 cal for veggies) and then I'd add a guess at oil and sugar.....the veggie calorie count won't add up to much usually, but whatever oil…

I drink coffee...lots of coffee, but if you are weak and tired it may be more to do with what you're eating (or not eating) that leaves you that way. What do you have for breakfast?
-
I'd probably push my weigh in back a day after a huge meal and more sodium than I'd normally consume....but I'd totally log a loss in the other scenario :D

My longest routine is about 40 minutes not including a couple ab things and some stretching at the end. I go early before work, so I have to keep it under an hour, which works fine for my fitness goals. I used to do 5x5, but switched things up a few months ago and now do more of an upper/lower body split on alternating…

Those last few pounds can be really stubborn. It's the time you need to be most accurate in weighing and logging because the deficit you're shooting for is so much smaller and easier to eliminate with just a few inaccurate entries, putting you at maintenance. Switching up your exercise routine is a good thing, but it can…

Awesome work. You look great.

No one can give you self-control. It's all on you. Don't keep it in the house, avoid it entirely, or exercise portion control, but whatever you choose, it's on you to do it. I love junk and sweets, too, so I tend not to keep them in the house all the time. I give myself weekends to indulge more.

Personally, I wet my hair down and comb it before I go to the gym, but am not concerned with what anyone else does, so have at it

You have to log it under cardio to get it to show a calorie burn. If you log under strength training it's just to keep track of what you do and I find there are many easier ways to do that than MFP

Great job. That's fabulous!

I was unfriended by someone with a calorie goal of 500 and making comments idnicating an ED. She didn't have such goals when she first friended me or I wouldn't have accepted in the first place. Not sure where she went sideways along the way. I tried to give advice/support for healthier goals, but got unfriended. Not much…

Thanks...I was too lazy to do it for myself :) It could be tweaked up without the craisins or honey coated nuts with half the dressing to be lower carb and calories to fit my goals better. Usually when I make a salad, I jsut wing it with whatever I have handy in my kitchen.

I started here because I was borderline type 2 diabetic, high cholesterol, etc, etc. I needed to lose weight and get active to counter all that and set a weight goal to reflect that rather some aesthetic body image idea I had in my head. Looking better was just a bonus :) Now being close to that goal, the scale is far less…

I'm a fan of poppyseed dressing. What's the calorie and macro count?

Your profile says you only have 10lbs to lose. With a goal of 10lbs weight should come off slowly...you could shoot for something in the neighbourhood of 1/2lb per week and with so little to lose, your logging needs to be tighter because your calorie deficit is smaller. Without seeing your diary, it's hard for anyone to…

I'd say there's a good possibility you are underestimating calories based on inaccurate entries. One day you have creamy chicken wild rice soup at 300+ calories and teh next day cream of turkey and rice soup at less than 100. They shouldn't be that significantly different for the 1/4 less the next day. Also a large muffin…

I don't know who Dr Bernstein is, but when I started to lose weight a little over a year ago it was because I was borderline type 2 diabetes... among other things. I wouldn't say I'd peg myself as low carb, but I eat reduced carb...usually less than 100g per day and about 30% of my macros and I try to get most of my carbs…

Chances are you haven't gained much muscle while losing weight, but with fat loss are better able to see the muscles you have. You've likely developed your dominant side over your life and those muscles now appear more defined on one side with the fat loss. I can't see a visual muscle difference, but I'm very much weaker…
