Not an expert here, but I'm gonna go with no. I think it would sap strength you want to have for the lifting. Maybe a few moderate minutes for a warm up, but not a half hour jog. Personally, I just warm up with the barbell... Start empty and keep adding weight til I get to my 5x5 weight

Good for you! Quitting smoking is on my list of things to do, but I haven't got to it yet. Keep up the good work

Such a great feeling to move down pants sizes. Good job!. I used to go shopping for clothes and see size 4 or 6 pants as I strolled to the larger sizes that fit me and I'd think, ''who wears those?...they're so tiny". Now I can answer, "I do"...lol

I started end of Feb, so about 6 months so far. Had a couple big losses at the beginning, then leveled off to about 2lb per week average for a while and the last couple months I'm averaging about 1lb per week. Will likely slow down more for the last 15 lbs or so

No. I eat healthy all the time. If I'm going to Wendy's I'm having a baconator and fries all the way

I don't go in Ontario, but the one I'm at in Saskatchewan seems to have the same pricing range I see above. The longer you take a membership, the cheaper it is, I think. I wish my location had a pool, but at least we have 3 power cages =). It's clean, equipment is well kept up, and the staff is friendly. The classes are an…

When my youngest son went to the local public health nurse for his 2 year old shots and check up she said he was on the low average end of height, but a pound overweight and gave me a speech about how I should start keeping an eye on what he is eating, etc blah, blah, blah...a pound overweight!?!?! I was a little stunned…

I have days like that. Can't find any rhyme or reason to them. I know I'm hungrier (true hunger) on days I lift, but I have other days where I can't seem to be satisfied no matter what for no reason and in no pattern that I can discern. I usually give myself a little leeway to go over my calories a bit on those days as…

PCOS can make your weight loss journey a little more interesting and bumpy, but it doesn't stop you from losing weight. I have PCOS and I keep plugging steadily away. Acknowledge it as a factor that must be considered, but your basic path will be mostly the same as everyone else...The only concession i make to the PCOS in…

Everybody and every body is different. No one knows how much weight per week you'll lose for what you propose.

Diet pop....Zero calorie and I don't drink it very often...maybe one every couple weeks....more if I'm at the lake. I don't always log all my spices and I never log my tictacs, though I probably eat a half dozen every day For exercise I don't log housework and I only log my weightlifting as 1 cal to stay accountable...to…

Fabulous. You're looking great.

You look great and so does the cake

Being 5'2" myself, 1700 seems like a high amount of calories for a 5' female trying to lose weight. What are your actual net calories consumed per day? If you aren't eating any of your exercise cals back, then you'd be netting lower, but if you are eating most of them back, I can't see how you'd be in much of a deficit. If…

My morning weight....(first thing and nekkid after a shower) is usually my lowest weight, so that's what I log.

Good job sticking with it!

I'm hypo thyroid and was fat...still fat, but not as fat.... and I don't see either as a disability. Hypothyroid is a medical condition and if managed, doesn't affect my day to day life. If out of control, I suppose it could fall into a disability for some. Clinical depression is another matter, however. You can't just…

I also work a very stressful job and don't have a lot of time. I start work at 7am. I'm tired after work and it would be easy to convince myself to skip the gym then, which is why I get up at 430 and go at 5am. By the time the day is over, I've forgotten I even went to the gym. I hate mornings, but it's when I can find the…

If I understood correctly, you lost 7lbs in 3 weeks. That's pretty good. That's more than 2lbs per week. You don't want to lose it faster than that as it wouldn't be healthy.
