  • I suggest cooking a big batch of dry black beans on the weekends. You can eat them all week with virtually no sodium (compared to a can of low sodium beans).   • I like frozen blueberries on a bowl of Cheerios. It turns the bowl into a crunchy dessert-like treat (with blueberry milk at the end).
  • Hard to imagine you will get enough iron and potassium on 1,000 calories per day. Probably makes more sense to exercise more, and be patient with your weight loss. The goal should be good health, not just reduced calories.
