These sound great. Mashed cauliflower is great. Good ideas.

I saw Rachel Ray use a vegetable peeler to make zucchini ribbons as a pasta substitute. I, also, love eggplant parm. I lightly salt mine and let set to pull out bitterness. But I roast mine in the oven. Roasted veggies are my favorite: yellow squash, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, even radishes. I season with Mrs. Dash to…

I don't have an autistic child but I have a friend with a child with special needs. Her user name is Inshape13. I think alot of her. You may see if she's accepting more friends. Best of luck to you. =)

I totally understand. I get up at 5 am, leave home at 6 am, get home at 5:30 pm, work behind a desk, have 3 kids with youngest being 2 and a 6 month old siberian husky. I try to workout at least 30 minutes during weekdays and more on the weekends. I found my best results were starting dinner. While it's cooking, I get on…

If you don't have a crockpot, invest in one. It will help you tremendously. Chicken for shredded chicken tacos, pork roast, chuck roast, soups, etc.

I will keep trying. I haven't given up yet. LOL...

I've never posted a picture. Let me try. LOL. This is grilled chicken with spinach pasta and roasted veggies.

I quoted this in another post to someone. I read a quote that stuck with me. "What other people think of you is none of your business." Seriously, don't explain. You're doing it for you. It doesn't get any better. When your married and lose weight, you're automatically labeled as cheating. I just ignore ignorance... Keep…

Well. I read your post. First, I want to say your story isn't stupid by no means. Here are my thoughts. First of all, don't pay attention to what other people think is or isn't sufficient to burn. They are not you and you're not them. I read one time this and I truly feel it's true. It said what other people think of you…

Finally, some fun and humor. Yay!

I log every meal the night before I go to bed. Give or take a few hundred calories for any changes.

Hey there. I did take a minute to look at your diary. I'm going to say water retention is correct. Looking at your diary, I think one of your culprits will be the bullion cubes. They are loaded with sodium. You may want to look at Mrs Dash blends that are salt free. Good luck and don't give up.. :flowerforyou:

I love a variety. Talk Diry (Jason Derlo); Hey baby (drop it to the floor) (Pitbull); Shake that (Eminem); Halloback girl (Gwen Stefani); Thunderstruck (AC/DC); Ready, set, roll (Chase Rice). I love music.

Great idea!

I love salads. But as far as veggies, most are good roasted in the oven with olive oil and seasoning. Toss with pasta, eat as a side, etc.

What about those tuna lunch kits, fruit cups, peanut butter sandwiches on wheat? Also, I've made salads in a jar. The glass jar will keep the salad cold for quite a while. Organize yourself skinny has alot of recipes. Pasta salad using a vinaigrette dressing.

Only speaking for myself, I like to have mixed drinks time to time. But for some reason, if I consume alcohol, I don't lose weight. Also, I have to watch processed foods with alot of sodium. Although I do eat it, I retain alot of water in doing so. I'm sure you're doing good. You may just have to look at your choices and…

I don't know your calorie goal. I've eaten anything from oatmeal to grits to omelets. Here lately I eat a 40 calorie toast, fried egg using nonstick spray and precooked bacon. Other choices are yogurt with granola, breakfast bars, smoothies.

I like to cube it with other veggies (tomatoes, zucchini, etc), season, roast in oven and add to pasta.

I'm not expert. Just a southern cook. For greens (collards, mustard, turnip), I buy fresh and frozen. I start with about a tbsp of olive oil. Heat and add 1 small onion sliced thin and crushed red pepper flakes to your liking. Add greens. To add flavor without fat, I use chicken stock instead of water. Season with salt and…

Houston isn't very large but most people have no clue where Vardaman is. Lol ... Where I live, I'm exactly 45 minutes in center of Tupelo, Starkville, Grenada and Oxford.

Yes! Vardaman, Mississippi. Near Houston.

Losing weight is difficult no matter how much you need to lose. Some suggestions I have are: Set small goals. Instead of saying I need to lose 100 pounds, break it down into 20 pound increments. It makes you feel accomplished to reach those milestones. If you have a bad day, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and go at…

You are an inspiration! I'm so proud to have you as a mfp friend! I'm very proud of you for what you have overcome, what you have accomplished and for constantly fighting the battles of everyday. You are amazing! :flowerforyou:

I'm 5'1" with about 10 pounds to lose. I'm married with 3 children and one step son. Work behind a desk. Want to be healthier by my 40th birthday which is next February. Been on mfp for over a year but have down times like alot of people. Anyone with similar stats is welcome to add. I do have an open diary and I truly do…

Since I see your profile says you're vegetarian, what about adding peanut butter to your diet. I know it's high in calories but it's a good fat and has protein. I like popcorn, yogurt, fresh fruit, fiber bars, boiled eggs. Cucumbers are my favorite because low cal. I found if I balance fiber, protein and carb that I feel…
