Can I ask what the glucosamine actually does? I have a hip and a shoulder joint that hurt all the time, even after more exercise and losing weight. I would be interested if it would help me to feel 'smoother' in my joints.

Thanks for the responses. I do worry a little bit about calcium because I am Lactose Intolerant (messy business) and so I try to do almond milk and lactose free instead. I love those slim fast snack bars. A worthy feel like I'm eating a real candybar sort of treat. My other go-to's are string cheese, Greek yogurt and fruit spread, pita chips, almonds and I make my own trail mix with almonds or pistachios and dried fruit.

I am not an expert but this has confused me at well. I guess I best understand it as exercise calories are to refuel. The minus is still figured in. Kinda like a foolproof system. I do a lot of stir-fries too! It is easy and versatile. My hubby refuses to eat those nights though and makes a sandwich instead...:grumble: thanks for the website!

Here's one more that non fat people have no clue about..... How about the arm/ tummy flab/ or breast flop noise that happens when the Chubbly folks exercise. The music could be pounding and I swear everyone in the room has to be able to hear my chubby tummy flopping around while I Zumba. Sigh. Deodorant for chaffing huh?…

I used to buy pints of Ben and jerry's and eat the whole thing after my second shift factory job. I even had plastic spoons in the glove compartment..... That was 15 years ago! I can't hide food from my kids now.
