I think some swimming would definitely help. This was recommended to us by many asthma specialists when my eldest was young and we were being admitted to hospital every 6 months or so.

Sounds right to me...you never want to go under your BMR
-
You need to eat A LOT more

I hope it's OK, I am having a few glasses tonight :drinker:

I won't hijack your post with a photo of me LOL But I think I have finally noticed a difference in my face now too  Exciting isn't it!!

Read Sweet Poison by David Gillespie. It will explain it all :)

Enjoy the comments!! It's not like any of your reasons to lose weight was because you wanted men to lust after you, it's just an added benefit.

Ok here is my take on the whole fat acceptance issue - I think people should accept the fact that they may be fat and not use it as an excuse. I think we are all guilty of the "oh I'll do (whatever) when I lose some weight". For example, I might be desperately wanting to learn how to salsa dance but I may only be willing…

I'm from the Gold Coast too. Anyone who wants some local buddies feel free to add me anyone

Another Aussie here  I'll send you some support

Especially more than 1200 calories a day
-
Looks good....might give it a go after I can run for a bit longer than the 90 seconds I am up to on C25K at the moment.

I'll be a support buddy...added you :)

What's the original book called? Maybe it will help me more, I can find lots of others. I too am finding it difficult to decipher the NROL4W. It makes my brain hurt

I think the first step would have to be to own the behaviour and stop feeling guilty for it. Maybe a journal would be a good start, don't try and stop the binging but journalise what is happening when you feel like binging and your feelings surrounding it. I think a lot of people are too scared to own their feelings and…

Come and look at eat more to weigh less http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less It really does make sense, well to me anyway...you need to reset your metabolism, and start eating the right amount of food. Maybe if you start eating the amounts of food your body needs you won't feel the urge to…

I'll encourage :) add me

I found when I was eating at 1200 calories I just wasn't going as much as I should. Now that I have upped it, I am fine again

I have four, I refuse to let their lives over-run mine :) add me if you want I know what you mean

1200 is less than most people's BMR...so 1200 is completely insane really. Look at your BMR and your TDEE and find something in the middle, usually between 20-15% less than your TDEE is ideal. TDEE = total daily energy expenditure. If you do it this way you don't eat back your exercise calories as the amount you are eating…

I have two GNC protein powders I rotate, cookies & cream and choc caramel. I mix it with greek yoghurt to make it palatable too LOL so a double shot of protein there

It's hard isn't it...I have only been on this ride for a week. And I am trouble eating at cut, ket alone TDEE. I am unsure if I should be doing a reset. I haven't really been on low cal for too long, 5 months or so. Should I just stick it out at cut or go into reset mode?? I have a wedding in October I want to have at…

How would you feel if your husband/boyfriend said that he was turned off by YOUR fat rolls and appearance in general? I am thinking that this appearance thing is just the icing on the cake. There are probably other issues at play here, but this one is in your face and tangible so you can focus on that. I personally think…

Day 1 here also. Anyone who wants to add me too :) we can motivate each other!!

Go you!! I am up to wk2 d1. Definitely make sure you get your stride and foot placement analysed and get shoes to fit. The right shoes make a world of difference.

I am on depo too and I think that it has contributed to my weight gain. But I am really enjoying not having TOM and not having to worry about getting pregnant. I, too, have been debating using another contraceptive, but the question is which one...

I jumped in too and went straight to my TDEE -20%. It has been a week today. I haven't really lost or put on much weight. I will weigh again on Friday and see what is happening. Just stick with it Lyndall, it is a much better way to live. It may just take your body a while to adjust. I don't think there is a right or wrong…

Mine arrived in the mail today. I will start tomorrow  I like it because it is so short, that means I can still do C25K three times a week. Hopefully between the two, I can lose some inches and some weight. Keep at it everyone, WE CAN DO IT!! ETA - I might even take a picture and compare in 30 days
