My 6 year old would be miserable on 1200 calories a day. Definitely bump it up, but if you do you need to be spot on with calorie consumption. Use a scale to measure as much as you can

weights then cardio, though of course jump on a machine for 5 mins to warm up. I do:- 5 min on treadmill weights 15 mins on treadmill 15 mins on stairs

Honestly I think I would just stick your baby/young child in a stroller (or whatever you call it where you are and walk). It's free, you can do it whenever and it's easy to do. Work on that and your diet and then reassess in a few months. If you can't commit to taking an hour out of your day to go for a walk I am unsure if…
