Oh heck yeah! I was falling asleep in the middle of the day for the first month. For me it was a one of the most immediate and prominent side effects. I'd be lying if I said it completely went away for me..

Welcome!!!!

Hi Adabich! The rash and welts could be a couple of things: the side effect as described or something called cellulitus which is a common condition at injection sites. Are you rotating sites? Everyone plateaus. I was plateaued for 2 months and then started losing super slowly. I lost 15 initially and have lost 3.6 over the…

The Saxenda makers here in Canada suggested taking it in the morning. If you take it then it works when your body is dealing with your food intake. Otherwise it's out of your system by the time lunch arrives (half life is something like 13-14ish hours). Then again, you have to be able to take it, period, so do what you…

How long have you been on it? Eventually everyone stops losing on it, unfortunately. But it will help your body maintain, and help in subsequent healthy efforts. What program are you doing?

I saw a new digit on in this --* place today. I've been plateaued for months and couldn't break my lowest weight so I'm very happy today. :)

I had serious pain in the beginning and had to get checked out. The labelled side effects had me convinced I had screwed up my life by taking this. Turns out that I need Pantaloc - it was giving me an ulcer. And Alive only contributes to it because I was taking it too!!!! So don't panic like I did, but get it checked out.

I'm down 6% since January 11th. I'm really pleased!

Hi! I took my time with the dosing. I've been on it since early January and I'm still not at 3.0, but that's the way I handle meds, and I have other meds with other side effects to factor in. But my pharmacist and I always work things like that out together, if for no other reason than for an insurance note because I won't…

The main one, and by far the most popular, is Saxenda Support Group. The other is slower; Saxenda Struggles And Success Support Group. Good luck to you, I hope you find what you are looking for. I know it can take time to find the right online community.
-
There are 2 that I belong to already plus the group on here; that's enough for me. I appreciate the invitation though. Thanks!
-
:) Thanks. I'm glad things are going well for you!

Hi everyone, I've been away for a bit - sorry. I'm wondering if anyone has had any significant changes in their taste?
-
How are things going @ChrissyB4848 ??
-
Wow! That's fantastic! Congratulations on changing the system!!!! You should join the group, we're pretty great :p
-
Wow!!!!! That's wonderful! Also, what is it? LOL
-
Ofcourse :) To be fair, what I do eat isn't altogether bad - it's just fair. Some good, some not so good. Not much meat, a lot of water, I don't drink calories unless it's hot chocolate. And the only exercise I get is a busy toddler :) Good luck!

I'll send you an invite :)

I haven't changed my foods at all, just the amount. The amount I eat has changed drastically - I get full at 1/3 of my previous intake. I'm down 12 lbs since January 11th. I was really surprised how quickly Saxenda took effect. Welcome to the group!

Like many other drugs, Saxenda has a half life, so it does leave your body. The drug monograph is available on the manufacturer's website, it comes with the box, and your pharmacy will have it. The most reassuring thing I can tell you is that I in taking this med I now know what it is like to be full and not be hungry.…

So my med, Pantaloc ( aka Pantoprazole) really helps. It makes a big difference in the nausea. I'm so glad to be feeling better :)

I entered the 260's today!!!! I'm so happy. ❤❤❤❤ I also fit into a pair of jeans and a shirt that I couldn't before. I don't think I've ever had a true NSV. I'm very pleased.

Hi! Okay, so turns out to be severe gastric reflux turned ulcer due to slowed gastric emptying. I'm prone to them so I shouldn't be surprised. I should have started Zantac 2 weeks ago after the cauliflower incident. *sigh*
-
I did have some dessert last night, which was the last thing I ate. That's not on my list of side effects!
-
Down another pound :)
-
Congratulations on your loss!

Saxenda is mainly intended for obesity. Its lesser version, Victoza, is used for diabetes. Victoza resulted in weight loss for its users so the company repackaged it, it and now we have it. My point is, try not to worry about the diabetes label - you've been prescribed it to improve your health. When I was prescribed it I…

Hi everyone! There's a group for Saxenda users if you look for it - just someplace off the main forums for us to chat. I'm on week 5, just increased to 1.8 mg. and have lost 8 lbs since January 11th. And the nausea is KILLER.
-
I completely get this. I have a little one and the nausea has, at times, landed me on the sofa with a cold pack while she watched Paw Patrol. I'm not proud of it.

I'm down 8lbs since I started Saxenda on January 11th. I just increased my dose to 1.8 today so I'm interested to know what results higher doses will produce (I stay at each incremental dose for 2 weeks). 8lbs!!!!! <3 <3
