  • Friend me!! I love this site!! I also am a gym junkie, and I eat healthy too!!
  • I do a lowfat cheesecake. It's the Philadelphia Cream Cheese recipe, I do it without a crust (you can do crushed raw almonds if you like) and I us lowfat cream cheese, fat free sour cream, plus I sub Splenda for the sugar. I'd have to log it in the recipes to see the exact calories but it's better than the original! I also…
  • Cut back on carbs. You can eat fruits & veggies, but cut out anything "white"...bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, plus starchy fruits...you'll see a difference soon!! That and do some ab work...I do 200 crunches every other day. Both made a difference in me! Good luck!
  • FRIEND ME!! ! I have to say, I'm a really great cheerleader, plus I understand your story!! I've struggled with my weight for YEARS, and since finding this site have lost 30 lbs. I also understand falling off the wagon...I've had a couple slip-ups in the past 6-8 weeks...I've had some stress with work and home, and…
  • DON'T GIVE UP!! You are worth this!! Really be vigilant with your food, log EVERYTHING you eat, get a food scale to weigh it out if you're estimating portion sizes, and while you may not be able to run or work out on things like treadmills/ellipticals, find a place with a pool and try water aerobics-trust me, it works!!…
  • I agree! And I purchased a small scale at Target for $5.99!!
  • I'll Friend you!! I'm an awesome cheerleader!!
  • I LOVE my gym!! It doesn't have all the amenities of some of the newer gyms, but it's very close to both home and work, I'm very comfortable there (I've been a member for about 4 yrs), and most of all, I work my *kitten* off-literally!! If it helps to motivate you (and it does for me!!) then join!! It's not gonna cost you…
  • You look great!!
  • I'm not sure how tall you are & what your body frame is (I can't master metric conversions this early!!)...I'm 5'5'', small frame, I weigh 120 lbs, my BMI is 20 & I wear a size 4, occasionally a size 2!! Since I'm in maintainance I eat about 1500 cal/day,but I ate1200 cals while I was losing the weight. I also work out 5…
  • I like to go in the morning, but I work 8-5 most days & need to drive my daughter to school, plus I just can't see going to the gym at 6 am, so most days I go in the early evening. On my day off and the 1 day that I work the late shift I go in the morning
  • My BMI is 20, which is on the low end of healthy. I'm not sure how important BMI actually is, but I feel great, my weight is the lowest I've been in a long time, and I'm very happy with where I'm at!
  • I go right back to my normal routine, but I'll cut out any little "extras" ie dessert or a cocktail. I'll also really amp up my workouts! One day won't blow it, just get back on track! Good luck!
  • My husband & I rarely fight; it's more of a disagreement than a fight, per se, but we DO have the occasional fight. We get it out and get over it. People who say they don't are A) lying or B) avoiding issues.
  • LMAO!! I'd say you burned at least 100 calories!! People can be such *kitten*!! I ran out of gas once and as I was coasting into a parking lot some woman in a minivan blew her horn at me!! :noway: I got out of my car and screamed across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic "Are you freaking kidding me? How about you get in MY…
  • I feel your joy!! I did that a couple months ago & was like "Holy *kitten*?!!" It's a great feeling to see the hard work pay off! Congrats! Friend me if you like!!
  • I'm 5 days from being "in menopause"!! My last period was 11/9/10, and a year ago I thought I'd be happy if I could lose 10 lbs. I'll be 50 in 6 weeks, and I'm currently at my lowest weight since I was 35 and in the best shape of my life, both physically and mentally!! If you want to start up a Menopause Group, count me…
  • I've gotten that alot lately, especially since I hit my goal about 6 weeks ago. It does feel good, right?!!
  • Yes! This made me laugh; I had a friend at work joke about how thin I've gotten, and she poked me in the ribs, looked at me strangely & said "What's that?" very seriously. I said "What? My ribs?" and she said "I've never felt them on anyone before" So yes you should feel them. It's when you see them that you may be too…
  • Try a veggie chili with soy crumbles and alot of beans (kidney, black, white, etc). That always fills me up, and you can adjust the heat to your taste. For snacks, try Fiber One or Fiber Plus bars-they taste like junk food but have fiber & are lower in calories! Good luck!!
  • I'm loving chai tea with a splash of sugar free vanilla cream-my skinny version of a chai latte
  • I get in my 8 glasses most days, especially in the summer. If it's hard for you, try those Mio drops, or a little Crystal Light. Water suppresses your appetite, makes your skin look glowy, and rids the body of toxins. :drinker: (that's me with water!!)
  • We all have those worst enemies-thank God for the best friends!!
  • I would say you should eat more, whether you increase your calories or eat back your exercise calories. I started out right about where you are now (I'm 5' 5" & my starting weight was 150 lbs) and I was on 1200 calories-I stayed at that until I hit my goal. I was sometimes really hungry, mainly when I went to bed, and upon…
  • BTW-as for the stretch marks, self tanners will help hide them. I also have an old appendectomy scar, I make sure my bottoms are high enough to cover it up!
  • I've lost 30 lbs and I wore bikinis this past summer!! :glasses: (That's me with my sunnies!!) I had lost 20 lbs by June when I went on vacay-they were my motivation!! Good luck!!
  • Go work out!! I ate 3 chocolate chip cookies last night, after a pasta & garlic bread dinner :grumble: I don't usually eat starchy carbs (bread, pasta, etc) & I think it put me in "carb mode". I was actually still under my calories, but I feel like crap today  I did work out really well yesterday so I had alot of…
  • 100 calorie packs of raw almonds, pretzels, apples, oranges, Fiber One bars, low fat granola bars, rice cakes, the list goes on... Good luck!
  • Xen-Tan makes amazing self tanners!! They have olive undertones so they don't turn you orange, and they have a vanilla scent, so you don't stink!! Clarins is another good brand, but Xen-Tan is my personal fave!
  • Well said!! I do see some irritating people at the gym (the spinning instructor last night who SCREAMED "woo hoo" every 15 seconds-I did want to strangle her with her headset!!) but for the most part I've never met anyone who was mean. There was a lady who used to sing loudly and pose-I never saw her actually work out, but…
