  • I read this the other day and find it extremely helpful in the world of eating right and "diet" I hope it helps!!! God Bless :) “Forget about those New Year’s resolutions in which you decide on the first day of January how you will be conducting your life in September, some nine months later. Here’s why: any resolution…
  • Hi I don't post much but had surgery and am planted! I was just talking about this subject with my friend's 13 year old daughter. I have 5 boys but I was remembering how much time I wasted when I was a teen and in my 20's obsessing over parts of me that I didn't like. Like someone else said, I wish I realized how lucky I…
  • Make a salad in a to go plastic container baby spinach, carrots, sweet pepper, cauliflower, craisins, feta cheese, chick peas, chicken or tuna, almonds if you want- use a low fat dressing or I make my own with olive oil, cider vinegar and truvia. That's my go- to lunch
  • It really depends on a lot of things- I've been running consistently for over 2 years. That said, sometimes it still hurts- some days my body hurts, and other times I can't breathe as well but I will say that it's rarely my breath anymore. If your calves hurt you probably need to strengthen your quads- those are the…
  • Me Me! I have 5 boys!!! I'll send you a friend request! :-)
  • The ones I posted about below do not fall out with or without a band- but I do put a band over in the winter when I run :-)
  • Go to Best Buy- get the Sony sport ones, that make a complete C around the back of your ear and connect- so it's more like a D- they are about 19 dollars. I'm on my 3rd pair, because they are the ONLY ones that stay in, and usually my boys take them and lose them, that's why I've gotten 3 pairs. these do NOT fall out! The…
  • I wanted to let you all know I got a cortisone shot in the heel on THursday! OUCH!! But- the pain is almost gone. I'm trying my first workout since I had it this morning, a lower intensity Zumba Kick class. I promised the dr. I wouldn't workout especially running for 3 days so maybe tomorrow if it's feeling good I will try…
  • Take 2 advil or tylenol and hour before you go out - make sure you're hydrated too, sunglasses, and make sure you're not clenching your teeth, or tightening your shoulders near your neck when you're running. Relax, go slow, breathe deep and keep at it- it should go away as you get used to running too :-)
  • I'm heading out for a run now. See, there is the misconception- it's hard to LIKE the actual running. It hurts, it can be boring, and long, but the feeling of accomplishment when it's done is unmatchable. It doesn't get easy ever and if it gets easier then you can push your mileage or speed. I just run slow and steady,…
  • Welcome :- )Friend me if you like - the support here is great. When you post a question you will get instant support! Love it
  • If you step back and look at the big pic you have lost almost 8 lbs in one month. If you lose 8 lbs a month for a year it's 96 lbs. That is quite significant. So don't be discouraged and keep on going one day at a time trying to look at the bigger pic. Don't give up! :-)
  • Love Who you Love and Unstoppable- by Rascal Flatts :-) Those songs talk about the only things that matter :-)
  • I have the timex one for around 50 too. I got mine at amazon. I love it and it works great! Gives cals too and average heartrate as well as highest reading during a workout too!
  • I go to really hard classes and never am anything but inspired and excited when someone new comes and usually they are very new and very out of shape. I never feel anything but proud of them. I promise you that's what you'll get when you go to a class as a newbie. Do it! You'll be amazed at how no one thinks poorly of you-…
  • Just got one by timex on amazon- and it works great- I think it was about 49 dollars- it's a unisex one- let me know if you can't find it I will get you model number :-) My friend has been using it for months an dstill loves it!
  • Hi there :-) As you lose weight it will go away little by little but to help with a more immediate result drastically cut back on sodium and sugar and carbs. All those things, especiall sodium make my face rounder and fuller. I think you will see a difference in a few days if you do just that. Good luck with your journey!
  • I love the Pink quote at the end of your post. I'm new here :-)
  • Yes that's right (toddlers and all) If I start ignoring my diet I start putting on weight and it makes me crazy. I know I'm not fat but I don't want to worry about gaining weight from just snacking and having a few days of whatever eating. If I track my food I will not aimlessly snack and put on weight. I hope :-)
  • I am towards the end of this book myself! I can totally relate- just not to that extreme. I just posted something that I'm hoping others can relate to sort of in reference to this topic of getting obsessed over things. There is a fine line. :-)
