Niki, it's interesting that you say that. I've seen that show/episode, and (pardon the pun) weighed it against common sense and my doctor's advice, and have concluded that no foodstuff should be on my Do Not Eat list unless I'm allergic to it. That's what I do and the lifestyle that I encourage my MFP mentees to follow.

Update: one wish came true, in that my checkup went awesomely. My head is still pounding slightly, but I'll live. T-minus 5 days and counting until I'm allowed any semblance of normalcy for a while, yay!

I can relate! I've lost 30 pounds so far, but still feel like 210 pounds. I was in counseling to try to help with the loss process but it did nothing. However, I do think I could use some therapy to gain a "thinner" mindset. When I return to college, I'll ask if my old therapist still works there, or see her boss.

I don't know how to count "medicinal" calories, so might figure that out for maintenance, but I don't worry about it for now. If you're sick, take care of that first, then the rest will fall back into place. Just my humble opinion.

I'm not a cat-lady per se, but our little Pyewacket is a bundle of joy and fun. Here he is, giving me a quick backrub before bed. You can't see my face but it's safe to assume that I was totally content to have this cutie kneading the day's stress away.
